This has got to be the best build from scratch I've ever seen on KZfaq. Way to do it. Great thought going into it and well executed.

Looking good. Hopefully it will last a long time and provide shelter on many, many more trips. I'm excited to see your pull out kitchen come to life. Sounds like a good plan!

Did you consider using the vinyl floor slats which look exactly like the “wood” planks? That would have helped a lot with shrinkage and would’ve been completely water proof.

I would have added a good sealant “caulk” under the vapour barrier in front of the shower and door to keep moister from getting under it where you can’t wrap it upward.

That is a beautiful color flooring. You are doing a wonderful job on this build, especially your attention to the minor details. You and Shawn definitely have that in common. Speaking of Shawn (My Self Reliance), do you ever hear from him or Joe? Anyway, I hope you have an early spring. It will be 75 degrees Fahrenheit here in Tennessee for the next week. Flowers are blooming and the trees have buds. We are not out of the woods yet. We still have what they call dogwood winter to go through which is usually around Easter when the dogwood trees bloom. I hope all is well with you and your family and can't wait for your next outing.

Perhaps I am missing it, but are all of your videos in an order and numbered to follow along? Just so I don't miss anything. I have always wanted to build a travel trailer, years ago I built my own cabin cruiser for small lakes

You should have just used self-tapping screws and screwed it to the frame. Do this for two reasons. #1: Using metal on the aluminum causes galvanic corrosion to the aluminum unless you can completely avoid contact between the bolt and the aluminum. #2: Screwing it to the frame is as tight or tighter and much quicker and easier and no chance of galvanic corrosion of the aluminum. BTW, nice job on the flooring and the shower. It looks nice and you did a very nice job.

Nice. Looking good. Your project is coming along nicely. I do hope you left plenty of expansion room that floor will expand quite a bit in a camper. Just my experience.

Really enjoying the build so far , my only concern is you used mdf laminate flooring instead of vinyl interlock floor , that mdf is crap when it gets wet , swells and chips , the vinyl is 100% waterproof and scratch resistant and looks better , just my opinion thats all , no wrong way just think if im going to do the floor and build on top , it better be something i dont ever want to have to fix .....i done every type of flooring and that mdf is the worst for any water spill and you want to use your trailer year round ? Time will tell ....just think you have gone to every measure to waterproof the outside but didnt consider the interior flooring , yes its more expensive but its the floor , the most abuses surface , once again only my opinion ....still like the builb so far..

You may have a problem. Floating floors expand and contract. You have installed your floor in the cold which will make the boards as small as possible. It looks from your video and I may be wrong but you are tight up agains the walls. If you did not leave at least 3/8 gap around the edges your floor will buckle in the summer heat when it expands. Also if you build the wall ontop of a floating floor you will restrict it's ability to move and you again will have the floor buckle. I hope not to be the bearer of bad news.

I have a vehicle transport and I want to put some cabinets and countertop with a sick A/C heater and TV and a small bathroom. It’s a 24ft long. Do you think putting walls insulation and all the stuff I mentioned before would be expensive?

The heads of the floor bolts are not big enough, therefore it will fail down the road, u should have used 30 to 40mm washers recessed into the floor, which would never fail with the moving and flexing of the trailer floor.
