Loved this video! It's like we are in tune because I've been so fascinated with oil gels after trying the Johnson baby oil gel which feels amazing on the skin, isn't runny and is completely anhydrous. I was having trouble finding resources, do you think you can make a video about them? Maybe something like a beginner level, intermediate and expert level products?

I’m going to assume they have more glycerin, an,d or the fact there’s actual water in it could be the reason why it’s more “shiny” and “sticky”… the sugar probably has been starting to melt, but due to the other ingredients and the little amount of water “lower than the preservative) is why it takes forever to fully melt

@@BeasyBee21just because something shouldn’t be inhaled doesn’t make it unsafe entirely. Inhaling is essentially making it internal. And this product isn’t for internal uses. This is an external product so skin use is fine.

I have tried emulsified sugar scrub recipes, but they never stayed soft and scoopable very long, but got hard; still able to be used, but texture not as nice. Does this formula stay soft over time? Thank you for sharing, love the way yours looks over Tree Hut brand. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Hey Tara, do you have an tips on how to get ones gram scale to read accurately? I have two that I got from Amazon and when I weigh things it initially reads the amount I intend to add. If I leave it sitting there, without doing anything the weight then fluctuates significantly higher and/or lower. Not off by like 0.3g or something but by like up to 7 grams before. I calibrate the scale each time I use it and I use a 500g calibration weight, a 200g weight and a 100g weight and they all read just fine during calibration but when I begin formulating it starts fluctuating again. Thanks! ❤ Edit: And O. M. G. I was today years old when I learned there were ingredients that could be hydrated in *oil* ! Like holy crap 🤯 . Thanks for sharing!

oh man! idk! i would recommend calibrated it, but sounds like you did that. are there any magnets around that could possibly be messing with the scale? that sounds like a pain to deal with! i’ll let you know if i find some advice.
