One of the Apres educators did a demo on me at nail pro Pasadena this year and she didn’t even buff the top of the nail before applying gel polish. She just wiped all the nails with acetone first and it made the top sticky so the gel would adhere to it. It works super well. I had no chipping or peeling at all.

I have white French tips with cut out stars that I got from Sally's and pink tips that have music notes and designon them and I love them both. These are so cute. I love your artistic ability.

Looks so beautiful! Been debating on trying either the Apres or the Xtens tip system... Xtens is cheaper, but Apres has so many tip options! And you can get a size 00, but they are bought separately. And oh, I soooo NEED some art inks! Heard amazing things about the Johens art inks you can get at The Pink Chair.

I just ordered these and I bought a $10 UV led flashlight from Amazon that stays on when you click it to flash cure them in place, also propping your big lamp on its side helps too! These are so freaking cute! Had them in my cart and was like let’s see how the first normal set goes first lol I also ordered the sculpted which I’ve never tried before.

Love the concept of the nail extensions as a nail tech we don’t have a lot of time to do our own nails that looks like a real time saver. The art inks look amazing I’d like to try them for sure. Is there a distributor in Canada? Thanks for sharing.

I use these on clients and have always had good luck with them! I will make a suggestion though, try using a little more gel when your applying it on the tip itself, apply a tad bit more to the edge of the tip, you wont have to put so much pressure to help the gel move before freezing. I love the art you did! They turned out beautiful!

The Apres is well worth the investment. All by 2 of my acrylic clients have switched over and love them. The only down side is that they stay on so well that I don't see my clients for 4 weeks instead of 2 weeks. So price accordingly.

I use a uv flashlight to do a flash cure to adhere the nail to my nailbed.. Although I do have to hold it in my mouth.

Another curious question! How have the cut outs been in your day to day life? Have you caught stuff in the holes? Hair? Paper, boxes? I like them better matte. The metalic red looks like velvet.

This might be a stupid question but, does Aprés sell to non techs? I'd LOVE to get these tips and do gels cause I've been told gels dont have an odor like acrylic kits do and i like doing my nails myself. Any tips?

So, I'm super new to the nail world and have never used this product but I would place it on the nail 1-2mm away from where you want it and slowly and gently slide it back as you start to press it down. I feel like this may help with any excess gel seeping out of the back and would encourage it forward instead. I hope it does, and if so it helps some one 👌🏻

They’re a soft gel and yes they do soften very quickly if you touch acetone. That’s actually my biggest pet peeve about this system. ( That and you lose corners super fast). I barely touched my nail with a wipe that had acetone on it and the underside of my nail was instantly soft and squishy. Maybe wear gloves while working if you are wearing these.

Just out of curiosity; take the brush out of the bottle, clean it right off and shake it: not in the bottle. Just the brush by itself. Let us know if you still hear the metal beads. 😑
