This one has been a highly requested tutorial, so I thought I'd give you an in-depth tutorial on it! We are making puffy sleeves, something I absolutely love to add on all of my work!
I've tried literally hundreds of puffy sleeve patterns (and even draft four or five of my own) and I think for a sleeve pattern, the puffy sleeves from the Mood Fabrics FREE pattern 'BLUEBELL DRESS' takes the cake!

HOW I USE THIS PATTERN: I only use the sleeves! I have created this pattern in its entirety and it's a FANTASTIC pattern, but for the sake of creating this video, we are only using the sleeve and sleeve cuff pattern pieces!
MATERIALS: I use silk taffetta from Silk Baron in the color "Chanterelle" In order to get the amount of volume I have in these sleeves you'll need to use a fabric that is a little stiffer. Taffetta (silk and polyester) are great options, as are cottons, stiff tulle or and fairly stiff non stretch material. I would stay away from soft knits, chiffons, crepes, satins or tricot.
CUTTING: I cut my sleeve pattern at the largest size. (28/30) this allows me the most volume. You can over cut it as much as you want, as it will create even more volume for your puff. For less volume you can cut it smaller. The cuff must be cut for your size/your arm size. I cut my as a size 8/10. These sleeves take approximately 1yard (or .9 metre)
