Because you still hit the wood with the same force, but you need to split twice as much of an area, the effort you are doing will be halved, meaning you’ll need to hit much stronger. And doing twice the effort at once consumes more energy than doing it in 2 separate cuts

For everyone say that this ax is useless, it’s not. It is an actual product you can buy with the blades in a cross shape. It does what the video shows at the end, split wood into four pieces. But for the love of god please do not make your own by ruining two perfectly good axes, just buy one of the cross head axes

Mounted the head upsidedown tho, longer "fang" of the head was pointing up. I would say that's not as good for the traditional chopping role as it could be knocked loose from odd toque but that went out the window when you welded another axe to it

El templado es fundamental y no quemar el acero también

I can’t fault the construction. I fault the design and the usefulness, but it was actually put together properly. Good welds and clean polish. Only gripe is that is NOT how to seat an axe head on a handle.

Heh, there's a reason why this contraption is not a thing. It's easy to align your swing sideways, but hard to align it further/closer from you. You would rarely cut it in 4 equal quarters with this..! Also, last minute you put the head upside down bro! Cool music tho 🤣
