Make this cable from new connectors and wires or even better, you can reuse an old USB cable to make this.
Be careful with the USB pin-outs, make sure you get it right and not reversed. It's easy to be confused with USB connectors.

Connect a mouse to a tablet,
Connect a physical keyboard to your tablet, if you type a lot, this is really useful.

One of the main reasons I was not seeing a tablet as a laptop replacement was being unable to quickly plug-in a USB flash storage drive. Now this works great.
To connect an external portable hard drive this won't work because the HDD needs more power.

I need these connectors: USB A ---------------> USB MINI B. But I can't find the mini B ........ . Now I start from USB A and then solder the various wires directly to the existing connector of my Arduino Nano\Uno. And I solve like this. I can't wait to get started but first I have to get some materials. :)

The mini usb is not easy to find but some shops might still have USB cables how you need it. You could cut the cable and make it how you need it. Enjoy the tinkering!

So what I would like to build is a way to have my android phone plugged into a keyboard and mouse as well as charge if possible. Is there a cord in exstiance like this or could you show me how to make one? Thank you so much btw Appreciate your time

Not sure if it works but try a powered usb hub and use a type-a to usbc or microusb

@@IONHowTo thank you bro been on Ebay for last hour or so looking found me a 4 slot hub for under 5$ USC. On one of the slots could I add a usb to hdmi adapter and also plug it into my TV or monitor aswell? Or would it not read?

If the phone supports hdmi out thru usb(c) maybe, have no idea if it would work

The 100k resistor could go between pin 4 and 5, or it could be left out as shown in the video.

There are different modes and the resistor sets those. Simplest is without any resistor just a wire.

Hi. I like your video. But I don’t know where to get those parts. I have a rpm sensor with three fine wires. Two for dc power and one for signal. I want to connect them to my control box with some panel mounted connector. I was thinking of using a USB. What can you recommend? Thanks, Paul

Some phones might work without it by changing the otg setting in software but I didn't see one yet.

Yes, I used it without a resistor, just a wire. It depends on the phone. The resistor or wire sets different OTG modes. Many phones will work fine with a wire. Some are more picky. It won't damage anything worst that could happen is not to work. Be careful with +5v and GND. Don't reverse those.
