I'm using this phone as a tabletop clock and baby monitor receiver:
make your phone a USB powered without a battery!
I connected the red to plus (+) and the black one to minus (-).
After connecting the phone will give a warning that the battery is extremely low and that you should connect to a power supply. Ignore it.

My tablet tells me that it has 0% battery and shuts Down after turning it on. What power brick did you use with this?

i cut out the original tablet battery and took a 3.5 volt flashlight battery and soldered it to the internal battery connections. the unit powered up and it runs just fine. the screen runs 24/7 for security cameras. the flashlight battery is setting on the table next to the tablet. you need the batteries plus and circuit board. just cut the battery off and solder to those tabs. watch for correct polarity. my table battery app show a lower power but it is working like a champ. for 3$ i fixed mine maybe you can do it to. you will just have a battery to tape to the back of the tablet. my guess is you can use a cheaper phone battery as well and them put it back inside.

Use a diode to reduce to 3.9v

This method works but thanks to you I fucked my tablets main board. Some think burned I think charger pcb I dunno. Don't attach directly 5v into your tablets or any smart devices.

in other videos they use an electronic component in the wiring , may be a fuse , resistor or something else
