When I realized she used the pointy sharp ends of the skewers for the legs of the couch, I thought it was because Vampires have fangs. I'm not done watching yet so if she paints them white with some red tips it would make sense. Otherwise, yeah, probably stakes. Sort of like a werewolf living in a place filled with silver bullets. and holy water, and crosses

Thanks for explaining about the chipboard. I was always confused when I head people say it on videos because in Ireland (where I live) it means a sort of wood board (a bit like ply wood but made of lots of little chips of wood instead of flat sheets). P.S. I love your videos.

I know I'm late seeing this, but I love it and the vamp set was really classy. Vlad would approve. I agree that the added bats made it sort of juvenile, but it still a great creative touch.

Now that you're (pretty much) finished with the Addams Family house, maybe I could convince you to take up another spooky house project: The Collins Mansion from Dark Shadows! I love that movie too, and on seeing your inspiration when it comes to vampires, I think you'd do an amazing job!

Wait what? There's a Dark Shadows MOVIE??? I got sucked into that TV series when my grandparents visited once and they watched it at 4pm every afternoon. All kinds of twists and turns in that show. I remember there being a dollhouse in that mansion too. Seemed like never ending possibilities there. My older sister had the Dark Shadows board game. hahahha good memories We kept watching it after the grandparents left. Thanks for that Grandma!

Perhaps your vampire would have a werewolf rug. Faux...of course! A set of occasional tables, end table(s) with urn bases and maybe the coffee table is supported by headstones. A double casket bed with a concrete grave vault base. Maybe your "babyish" lampshade can go in Pubert's nursery. I was so excited to see my minis at the end!

Love the sofa. Almost a mid century Danish feel with the hairpin style legs. So the lampshade wouldn't have fringing if you were matching it. If you were going more Victoriana for the lampshade, the fringing would be much longer and heavier. Then you could do all sorts of interesting shapes, as a Victorian shade could have two matching larger sides with more features including decoupage pictures, and two thinner sides to close off the shape. There's a creator doing tiktocks of making Victorian lampshades - I saw a Nifty facebook post of some of her tiktocks :)

I love your gothic vampire couch and lamp!! I think the addition of the tiny bats on the lamp was perfect. Not babyish at all in my opinion! I probably would have made the lamp shade a tiny bit bigger since the stand is so tall. I love how you're so through. What a super cute idea! I love the pop of red with the glossy black and gold accents; looks really nice. I'm currently working on a Haunted Tower with an attached cottage with my 3 youngest girls and I think this couch will fit in perfectly. I was thinking that the legs look more like fangs to me than stakes, so I may try to paint them to look like teeth? Anyway, love your take on gothy dollhouse miniatures! And my girls love the miniatures you make too!

As for your ads query, I had a look at this one just now and as I thought, there's an advert at the beginning (and again if you stop the video for any reason, then there's a yellow mark which denotes another one in the middle and then at the end and they're evenly spaced so no worries with these videos. I will check how it goes on your live streams here in the UK and leave a comment on the most recent one if anything untoward shows up but I have never had a problem with the amount of advertising on your channel as you're one of the better sites and we are aware that this is your job and are happy to watch ads if they're supporting your content.

Since i always have trouble finding the bedding material, i just take cotton pads, cut them to size, glue it on and upholster it. Works fine :) Don`t throw away the rest of the cotton pads, i usually pull them apart , fluff them up a bit and use them as pillow stuffing.

Nice, it spontanuosly made me think of Cigarr smooking Hannas diary from Frankensteins Aunt, as i remember Uncle (i can't realy remeber if he is just one of her relatives or her lover) sleep in a vampire coffin with an alarm clock and radio equipment, i used to watch the TV wersion whan i was a child. ha ha.

A gothic room or two with a dark, scary staircase??? Hmmm check out Jeremy's one from Black Magic Crafts, for a mini diorama he did. I also think Max from Max DM Crafting did a cool staircase with a trap awhile back. Love Love LOVE the vamp sofa!!! You are amazing Ara! Always "on it"! You could hang a huge portrait with moving eyes. Dark Shadows had that as well. This could be a vamp from years gone by, living in a modern world. He may not need a bed for sleeping but, okay nevermind. Iwas going to a bad place with that idea. Lol
