Love the fact that he cares about his cat enough to keep it tethered. I traveled with many cat owners who just let their cats run around out in the desert. I refused to do that, and some made fun of me. Well, I am the only one who still has their cat.

Good job. Inevitably, nomads come to, "Be their Van." I did the erector build many years ago; but not for van life. I was a traveling salesman. Now-a-days I stay close to my Texas home base. I like what I call, "Tank of Gas" trips. - It's spring time here now. 70's nearly every day. I loved the life on the road; especially because it allowed me to build a $300K nest egg.

My favorite was the easy access he built for his fresh and gray water. So smart to build his sink by the door and have the drop-down panel that allowed access from outside to the containers. No having to awkwardly bend to get them in and out.

I bought a 2007 ford E350 Super Duty retired plumping utilities cut away van with 12 foot box with tons locking storage compartment...Im coverting it to living quarters with full bathroom with shower..

I liked the arrangements and efficiency of his van layout. And that he used his erector set ideas to build from what the inside structure offered. His mini garage/office is not lacking for anything, either. I would like to suggest one thing, though. Video after video, I see people setting their butane stoves atop table cloths, wood, or hard plastic surfaces. To put any kind of fire on surfaces that can catch fire is dangerous! I have a smallish metal toolbox on wheels that I cook in when I want cook up something. I don't ever take it out of my small suv. I just pop open the back of the suv and situate my cooking area without worrying about anything inside getting too close to the heat. I hope others that heed on this danger before anything bad happens inside their little home on wheels. Btw...Lister the cat seems to loving life out on the road, too.

I bought a handicapped van like that a week sgo. An 08. I'll be having a no build van life for awhile but I already have four 2000 watt power stations and a 400 watt solar panel on the roof. Along with an iceco 68 quart fridge/freezer. I'm getting excited to start my long journey in April.

Stainless steel is harder to drill, from the nickle content. Go slow, and a lower cutting-edge angle helps

Very nice. Got my wheels turning and I’m wondering how big of a car do I need to tow that trailer and make the trailer my home. Then unhitch the car so I can use it wherever I go for sightseeing etc. Is that practical or do they get stolen a lot? How do you lock up the trailer so no one can roll away with it?

There are some anti-theft things you could do. They have a lock you put on the hitch so that no one else can hook up the trailer. They also have a lock (similar to the "boot" that law enforcement uses) that prevents the wheels from turning. Of course, nothing is completely theft-proof.
