So guys I’m back again with an exciting DIY project so for all you beautiful people who love good lighting. Ever tried putting makeup on and not having good lighting? Well…. its hard and 9/10 times you’ll come out looking dusty, unless you have great natural light which I don’t have. Im showing you my take on the ohhh so famous Hollywood Vanity Mirror Lights. As an electrical engineer please do not let the copper wires exposed like this, it’s very dangerous to have live electricity going through them! Make sure you tugging it all the way inside the connector “the white thingy” .

Also use the proper hand tools, grab some from ikea they’re cheap and handy. Don’t use scissors ! Be save 🙏🏼

This may be a stupid question, but how would you fix the lights onto the wall with the thick wire behind it?? There's no opening for the wire to come down. So the lights won't lie completely flat against the wall.

Taylor CPM i think you just have to position them as flat as you can. I think it also depends on the thickness of the wire you use but yeah i don’t think it’s going to be completely flat. Good question though. Mine just happens to be flat but it comes out at the side

you do it the exact same way, you just join the third light withe the other two, obviously it might be a bit bulkier with three cables but the same principle applies. hope this helped you, let me know if you need more help xx

Is it essential to use a power drill or would I be able to screw those screws back in with a normal screwdriver?

Ivie-fai Osuamkpe a normal screw driver is absolutely fine. I just like to use the drill because it's fast but feel free to use the suitable screw driver. X

Never. Never leave so much naked cable! Doing it in your way is too dangerous and can cause short circuit

It's from ikea its called stave but i think it's been discontinued so I would recommend the nissedal 65x65 mirror for £15. It's pretty much the same thing but a little bigger.

No wire should be exposed in any switch if you are going to show people how to wire a switch then you need to wire it right

Ok the Lego thing is called a connector block and the white wire is called a sleeve, plus you stripped to much of the sleeve.. good effort minus the use of all wrong equipment..

Extremely dangerous practice, Lego contraption ..................er no these are multiblock connectors , !!always use a stripping tool not a pair of scissors when you expose the copper core both live and neutral you should only expose enough copper core that should fit inside the terminal block , never as this video shows , these cables will be live with current , huge potential for an electric short resulting in a fire . !! seriously this is a terrible practice
