hey everyone🌻
I welcome you all in my KZfaq channel I hope you all are doing well so today I am gonna make diy vintage or old looking paper in very easy and simple way...

A better way to get the burnt edges is to roll the paper before burning its ends. You get the effects that burnt scrolls usually have. It's also faster.

I used tea to stain my paper just black tea steeped it lightly dabbed until I got the color I wanted and it looks great

Yes you can any type of coffee and if you don't have coffee you can use brown watercolor :)

I have a quick question... So here if we apply the coffee water on one side would it appear the same from both the sides? The colour might change a little bit from the backside of paper. Would it be?

Yeah if we apply coffee water on one side the colour would appear lighter at the back of paper

Can I use the same method but on a big art paper for my diary cover . Does the paper get soft after you paint it with coffee ? And Did you put only one layer or multiple layers of colour on it?

Yeah you can try this method on any size of paper. I used multiple layers until paper gets completely wet after painting it with cofee then dry it for a hour

the video is amazing and extremely helpful but i have a question if you don’t mind me asking! i tried this and after it dried, the paper is more of a mud darker brown than the parchment color your paper has. is there any way i could rectify this? thanks 💖

I think you added more coffee so that's why your paper turned out dark brown . You have to use only 1 teaspoon of coffee in 100ml water then apply it on paper .so your paper would look like mine . Thank you so much !! ☺️

You can roll it crumble it and can whatever u want once it's completely dry

You can use hair dryer to dry it quicker :)

Yes , you can but i would suggest you to add tea in "Boiled" Water . Also you can use brown watercolour instead of coffee powder.

I almost burned my house while doing this! I was trying to make sure how hot the candle was and it freaking burned some of my eyebrow hair and the paper was all fire thanks god the window was next to me or I could’ve died never trying this ever again.. and it even burned my nail!

Put your handmade paper between a thick book so i could be completely flat which will make easier to write on it . Ps: you can also use handmade paper for painting. Thank you 😊
