The Whitetail Remora [DIY Version] 🐳

@whitetailskateboards has this awesome idea and product, called The Remora. It's a wheelbase extension tool, to allow your front truck to sit in the pocket of the nose of a board! This pushes the front truck forward, so your front foot can sit in the pocket without being over top of the front truck. 🦶🏻
When the front foot sits right on top or even past the front truck, it can cause "Jackknifing" which means the front truck goes the opposite direction than intended, diving in the wrong side and feeling like it "clips" out from under you. With how short the wheelbase on this board was, it was vulnerable to this at times when pumping really hard! 🔪
This mod extends wheelbase by 2 inches, and has done so much for the stability and feel of this board! I can pump hard as I want without clipping or slipping, even more stability at speed, and all without losing much turn radius or agility! Just feels super solid now 💪🏻
The @sector9 angled riser pad worked best for me because of its hardness, allowing the @qwiktruks to be attached without issue, letting the click work fluidly on my @powellperalta Nicky Guerrero board!
We were terrified of drilling holes into our retro boards, but Camilo and I are so stoked with the turnout and what it's done to our rides! Can't wait to shred together some day! 🛹
