In today's video I'm showing you how I create a gorgeous round wood door hanger sign using wrapping paper to give it it's unique look. It's a simple technique that anyone can do, you don't need any special equipment.
I will be showing how I used my Glowforge to create my version of this sign, but I'll also provide you with other options you can do if you don't have a Glowforge. Like I said, no special equipment is required to make this!
So grab your favorite patterned wrapping paper and let's get started!

That also is my favorite wrapping paper! I bought mine at TJ Maxx. It’s rather thick and shiny so I hope mine looks as good as yours. Thanks for the idea. I love your bow too! I have trouble with bows. This makes it look so much easier.

I a, new to your channel and so appreciate your instructions on how to make this sign. I have these wood rounds and I will be trying this technique. And thank you, thank you, thank you for the bow instruction. This past weekend I struggled to make a burlap bow and now I will try it your way!! 💜

How adorable! I noticed that you get your cutouts local to me, well not far anyway. Are you local to the Tampa Bay Area? I’m in Clearwater. I’d love to learn more tips & tricks. By the way, the bloopers are great! Shows that we are not all perfect and anyone can do these. 😁👍🏼

I'm actually born and raised in Tampa, but moved to NC 6 years ago. They do have local pick up options available. Do you have a Glowforge or other laser? I'll be doing a lot more Glowforge tutorials this year. So excited to share all I've learned this past year.

@@KeepCalmandCraftOn - I'm a transplant from Pennsylvania. 🙂 I've saved them to my crafting bookmarks for future reference. I do not have a glowforge or laser, but looking at those prices, it will be a long time before I can do that. I will be watching your videos for whatever I can learn.

I actually used pencils and I do use a I like coat of arms I stain wood first wait for it to dry and then I do my stenciling and then I'll put a beautiful Vo on any wood piece

I still use a variety of tools in my business, not just Glowforge. But I'm definitely moving to more laser work and use it more and more. My GF referral code alone has paid for more than half of my Glowforge already, so that is a pretty awesome program they offer. I am so glad I bought a Glowforge and really enjoy creating with it! It's a great option for people like me who don't have the space to have a larger more industrial size machine. I've made it part of my living room decor. (I'll be sharing my setup in a video soon.)

Hi! If i buy a premade “hello” sign at hobby lobby, How do you suggest glueing it to the wood board?

I use CA Adhesive which is basically super glue.

I thought birch should not be used for outside. Will there be a problem doing this with birch wood round? Thanks

It would not be recommended to be out in the direct elements like rain. I also started adding a clear protectant spray to give them added protection. I've not had any problems with mine.
