I enjoy the research to the old traditions, and finding out why Pagans have these traditions, so your channel is so right for me. Thank you for showing the tradition of crafting items. I know that crafted items hold so much more power within them, and it's fun for others to do with you.

Hi Alwyn, such lovely ideas and traditions, I never thought of the pine tree shape, pointing to the sun, love that! My mum told me her trees as a child had candles. And my Gran used to paint walnut shells gold and hang them on the tree. I've started that. I started the cranberry strands yesterday, going outside for the birds and bunnies. You are so right, it all matters. Thank you so much. 💝

I'm doing this next year. I don't have room for both trees, and my Christmas tree's already up (covered with ornaments that were gifted to me this year by friends and family). My child and I do plan on doing salt dough ornaments, keeping a couple for ourselves, and gifting the rest to friends and family. I definitely want to do this next year, though. I might go ahead and make some of the orange ones to hang in the windows after the other decorations are down.

What a beautiful video! Now I want a tree that is dedicated to handmade ornaments for Yule. Maybe next year. It has been so long since I have played with salt dough. So fun! A little tip for your craft knife cutting on paper... rotate the paper instead of the knife. If you keep the knife at the same angle and area and move the paper it will give you clean cuts and make for easier turns. I like that your suns look like they are sleeping happily. It really symbolizes the sun waiting patiently to return. Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to seeing that topper!

Hi Alwyn, not sure if your aware but the pine trees also have a natural antibacterial effect, it's been found in nests of big birds of pray as they bring carcass up for their young fledglings and as they don't take away any faecal sacks as smaller birds do, so they bring in time to time more pine branches.( my husband and son are Ornithologists also son now works for RARE BIRD ALERT in the UK). Love your Yule tree.xxx ps, not sure if I'll be able to join your live next Sunday,if not I'll catch you up later. Many blessing you'll have a lovely week.xxx

Thank you! All of this so inspiring and beautiful! I so loved the amazing suns!!! (And I think it a very good thing to make one's own decorations and to know why we decorate, the symbolism and traditions, and also what we celebrate being it a pagan Yule and Winter Solstice or a Christian celebration of the incarnation of a holy God Child. That is, I think, what makes it all meaningful and also something that can give us strength, healing guidance and light in the long dark winter)

Beautiful! Last year I dried oranges and wrote a message for my favorite trees for protection and healing. I then slipped the “orange notes in a crevice in each tree. 🎄

I Love It! I always pay very close attention when you go into your Woods to collect your Flora and Fauna for the Solstices! Favorites to collect and use are Oak and Cedar. I also like to collect the gifts that they give out such as Acorns and Cedar Berries. Pine Cones are getting harder to find because they aren't in my area where I go to to forage. I have to go to an area out of town where there are Pine Trees. My favorite part of this video, is the Crystal Heart with your letter. What A Wonderful Thing To Do! I hope your coming week is Happy! 💚❤🌲🍁🌲🍁🌲❤💚
