In this video we have to turn around and head right back up to the cabin after the wind changed directions and came towards our cabin. I spent all night setting up sprinklers and pumps on cabins with fire all around them. I ended up staying up there and running the firefighters up and down the river for 12 days.

Just watching this makes my stomach churn and heart race. Pitching in to help those in need is a wonderful thing to do. No job is too small and with many hands it helps greatly on the bigger jobs. My thanks to you and others who are doing all they can to help neighbors and the men and women who are on the fireline. Not only do they work hard but the toxic fumes and heat beat them up while they are physically doing everything possible to keep the fires contained. My heart goes out to all of those fighting, assisting those fighting and those who have lost their property to the fires. I pray God sends rain and relief.

Great video. May I suggest there's a product called barricade what barricade does if you hook up the water and you spray it all over your house and out buildings. And then you let it dry and it turns into kind of an eggshell that heat resistant and it does work it's the best stuff you can use if you have buildings in the outback where there's fires. The other thing is the amount of trees you have around your buildings you probably should cut back things really good they have a better fire break and there's some other things too I think that's enough what I've said already barricade it's really something

Thanks I’ll look into it. we’ve been cutting trees for years trying to thin it out. I don’t want to clear cut I’m just going to keep thinning the trees and try and deal with all brush for now

No no barricade is a product it's a fire retardant and more it's kind of like coding your house with an egg and then when it gets hot access to fire retardant it dries against the house and gets really tough It's actually made out of baby diapers there that are ground up believer or not it'll save the property it's not that expensive. There was a fire in Backwoods Florida and it was a bad wood fire and it took down about a hundred buildings this one couple had a brand new house we sprayed the house with barricade and left their house in this big block was the only house that didn't burn@@diyalaskanlifestyle

Hey man, sorry I don’t know your name. What jet boat do you have?? 13 to 3 inch, 13 inch intake to 3 inch output. Ask the manufacturer to install a fire hose female latch, to run the water hose inland to fight fire and protect homes and property…… I’m a inventor/tinkerer just an idea for y’all i grew up in Alaska from 1959 at 5 yrs…… hope this helps.

you dont have defensible space, having lost a home to wildfire, I learned my lesson, that fire will jump top to top of trees i would water the roof down and sides of your cabin, that may work but the fire will break the windows and all will be gone the ground water is a little protection not much good luck

The forestry showed up and were gearing up to come in the morning. Logistically it is hard here the only access is by boat or helicopter, and the wind changed unexpectically. Also they thought our fire season was over so most of our fire fighters were on fires in the lower 48. Maui on the other hand seems fishy to me
