Polaris Ranger EV Mods - Part 1: Adding Rear LED Lights (#155)

This is part 1 of my quest to properly "trick out" my Polaris Ranger EV with front and & rear LED lights bars and a better charging port. Below is a complete list of materials and special tools used, except for those items I may have forgotten to include. 🙂
Materials for Rear LED Lights:

Very well done Martin! I like those switches, they are very reliable and they are nice too. I've used the same for my Defender. We never have too much light in dark! Especially working at night. This is typical for us in the Northern part to snowplow in the dark! Thanks!

Thank you Joe! Yes those switches are great and look cool too. LED lights are perfect for nighttime snowplowing. Ir probably help that the snow is white and highly reflective giving you great long range visibility. Thanks for watching!

This is one project i have been putting off for the kawasaki teryx. The rear windshield is tinted so night visibility is very poor while backing, luckily the teryx is factory wired from rear lights that will come on when the machine is put into reverse. I really do like the idea of the EV. I think if we just used the side by side around the farm the EV would be a solid choice but we spend a lot of time in the north woods where charging may not be an option.

Hi Richie! Yeah, you should just do it so you can see at night. The EV also had a reverse light wire I could use but I wanted to be able to use the lights as work lights if I needed to. You are right that if you take your side by side off property and ride significant distances then the EV is not a good choice. Thanks for watching!

You already know my opinion of the led lights Martin. I absolutely love them. Barb and I sometimes build a bonfire down in our woods and stay until after dark. My Kubota RYV 900 doesn’t have the greatest of headlights. I bet you can never guess what project I may having coming soon.

Hi Gary! Yes I do and that goes for me too. Once I tried out the LED lights, I knew my wife and I would be taking night rides through the woods as well as daytime rides. Just have to wait for the weather to warm up a bit more. Looking forward to seeing your LED light project!

Great job as always. Have you ever had to replace your glow plugs? If so will you please send a the link? I have a kubota L3301 4x4 2015 and I have no idea where the glow plugs are located. Please advise. Thank you.

Thank you Bryant! No I haven’t. I don’t know where they are either, but if you have the Workshop Manual for your tractor, it will certainly show where they are.

It’s just a simple wooden stool that doesn’t even have a cushion, but I don’t sit on it that often anyway. Most of the time I stand at my benches. Thanks for watching!

brother you did a fantastic job but why go with such tiny light bar in front? if you going to be a perfectionist, get a bigger light. i mean huge.
