Looks like a terrific purchase. EA builds some great implements and I thoroughly enjoy Travis' "Folksey" way he presents and demonstrates his products. He's a lot tougher on them in his videos than I would ever be. He's a dynamite salesman and for a good reason....he builds great stuff! Btw....I have my eye on his 55" root grapple.

Great review Martin. I love my EA attachments, which are built like tanks. The company (and Travis) go out of their way to accommodate. Customer service is top notch in my opinion. Tip, spinning the blade around and scraping backwards helps tractor ride on level ground, avoiding the ups and downs of pot holes, as the tractor rides on level ground. Once level you can spin it back around and grade ant angle you want w/o pot holes. Like any attachment, there is a learning curve. Congratulations on a fine purchase. Thanks for the review.

Great video as always Martin! I also very much appreciate the comparison section. I think the blade would be a perfect tool for maintaining the ditches on my half mile road. My only issue is getting delivery to my land as I'm 3000 miles away most of the time. My Kubota dealer would probably rather me buy a land pride than accept delivery of a competitor, but I am definitely getting my blade and grapple from EA as my next attachments.

Great video!! Congratulations on gettin your angle blade that is very nice love the offset and angle to make or clean ditch lines. You did good job for first time. I've had old one for several year's but never used it much till last year put it on to blade snow I loved it worked great but would like to have angle where I could do ditches. That product is certainly one of a superior quality. The offset feature is awesome for when it is needed. I can do that with the old, old pull type iron wheel road grader and it is a real handy feature. Every tool comes with a built in learning curve. Some tools have gradual curves but some curves are hard to negotiate well. LOL. If you have a long roadway that's on a rolling hillside, the tilt angle would be a perfect function to maintain proper drainage easily. Another great high quality production from you Martin. Keep up the good work buddy !!

I have this same blade. The offset feature is well worth the extra money. I plow snow with my front loader, offset the blade and can take a 6-7 foot swath each pass. I also raise the blade to push back the snow banks as we get more snow. Had to grease my offset as well to get it to slide easier. Great video. Russ. Esko, Minnesota

Congrats Martin, great acquisition. That blade is made like a tank. I too have several EA implements and they have stood the test of time. Their implements are a bit more costly but the quality surely makes up for the cost. You're right, it takes a bit to get used to the depth that it cuts. Congrats on the purchase. My brother bought one of those and they are very nice. Newbee tip: push backwards like a bulldozer so the tires of your tractor are rolling over the newly smoothed ground. Driving forward while dragging the blade will cause the blade to follow the pitfalls your tractor sees. Careful though that you don’t bend your link arms. 3 points can handle snags while pulling better than pushing.

Have an EA box blade. They are hands down the gold standard for most implements these days and I'll only buy from them

Hello there Martin!!! That is a nice back blade!!! You'll be more than happy with it I'm sure. Like you, I was looking for a back blade that would be easily offset from side to side. I don't know why all manufacturers don't design this feature into their equipment. It makes the back blade so much more versatile and useful!!! Martin, I built dollies for my grader blade and box blade as well from scrap lumber and harbor freight casters... make moving those thing around a lot easier! Mine look a lot like that!

Nice Blace. A little up there in cost but if you use it a lot it's well worth it. If you don't use it a lot a little over price. I only use mine when snow blowing. I drag it when I snow blow and gets my black top drive clean. THat's the only reason I use my tractor, snow blowing my driveway. $37,000 Tractor to snow blow a 350 foot driveway 12 for wide and 24 foot wide at the garage for another 90 Feet. But it's all up a 45 degree hill. Except going down. :)

I have a heavy duty rear blade on my 2520 John Deere. t is made for a much larger tractor than the 2520. When I have put it on the 520 John Deere without the loader, it will lift the front wheels off the ground when you raise the 3 point. I also have the box blade on my Kubota L2501. I often find myself going for the Kubota instead of the Deere because of the size, it is so much handier to use in confined areas. I noticed that the plastic wrap around your blade had the weight written right on the outside. Your new blade looks well built and I am sure you couldn't find another one on the market anywhere that is as versatile as the E.A. blade is. It has a good home now. Happy Independence Day Martin.

Good video. I called to order but EA but things are 4 months out as of January 2022. Good news they said they’d spray it Kubota orange. I wish they had one in stock for these bad Montana winters.

Great vid. I didn't read all ~80 comments so if this was already said, oh well.. But I wanted to point out for anyone who doesn't have such an adjustable blade or isnt willing to pay for it that even IF you don't have an adjustable lift arm that would let you get a little angle, you can still run your top link all the way in or all the way out. Having the blade tilt forward or back also results in one side being lower when it is angled side to side (which i think almost all of them for actual tractors do). It's sure not 30 degrees but its better than nothing and in combination with an adjustable lift link on one side it might be quite a bit (never tried to max it myself). Of course it also changes the angle that the blade engages the ground at but since you usually have the option to run the blade forward or backwards and can control excessive digging with the 3 pt height, i still think it's useful. Or just spend the money and get something THIS nice! I don't think i have enough property to justify upgrading from my basic blade, but.. when has that ever stopped anything else i did! Hmm

Nice job. Looks like EA quality all day long!, I receive my land scape rake in 12 weeks from EA just like they promised! I asked if them would paint it orange like my Kubota they did with no change also. There a great company to deal with!

Martin, the production value of your videos is always so impressive! The scraper blade looks great. I had one in the past, but sold it years ago when I was “tractorless”. One thing I found to be handy is soft dirt was to reverse the blade, but drag forward - essentially backdragging. Regardless of how you use it, you’re going to love having that blade! Great video and I think you are correct in that you get a lot of value for the money you put out. That added bonus is it's not this bad quality stuff coming out of China but made with pride right here in America. I believe the Stoney Ridge Farmer has highlighted some EA implements as well and is very high on their build quality. I was curious do they make any kind of attachments for skid steer equipment?

Shortening the top link will make a less aggressive cut. Likewise lengthening the top link will cause a more aggressive cut. Soft soil would benefit from a less aggressive cut giving you better control.

Since you shop at EA for tractor implements like I do, you should look at there land plane for your gravel driveway. That attachment does an awsome job.

I went to purchase one of these blades recently. The price has increased quite a bit which isn't a surprise I suppose but the 3~4- month wait was a deal breaker for me. Going to need to find something else.

Hey Martin, Thanks for showing this video. I remember one of your videos where you did maintenance of your road with an EA landscape rake that has similar functions as the scrape blade. How do you decide when it’s appropriate to use one implement vs the other?

It would be helpful if a buyer could eventually purchase the necessary weld on components to make the plain Jane blade hydraulic actuated for tilt , offset, and swivel without having to bite the big bullet all at once.

Nice review...better display of capabilities than the OEM videos. Question: what is the "reach" of the blade under full side shift...at both pivot points...beyond the outside edge of the rear tires ?? What is full width of your rear tires...for comparison to my tractor. Want to use a rear blade to push snow berms off the side of a road to make room for more snow...called push-backs or benching. EA says only 24 inches...not enough for my purpose. Wondering if you have "real world" numbers. Thank you in advance ! Nice equipment on a beautiful property....enjoy !!

Rear blades are mostly used for snow removal. Box blade is the way to go in your application...

How did you change the angle with a crank?

I've never had an implement shipped to me that didn't have some scuffs in the paint or dings and scrapes here and there.... That's how it goes.

I really like having a rear blade and I did look at the everything attachments rear blade however I went with a bush hog brand blade and I really like it bush hog is also a USA made product and they're not as expensive as land pride however my blade is an 8 ft blade and it weighs more than everything attachments blade and that is the reason I went with it

Just a novice here but if you have a box blade do you really need that?
