You could take out the 3, then loosen the 4th, hold it in place - then spin the whole hub on the last bolt to unsrew it.Or just keep turning it & it'll push the hub out.

Great video. Put off job for two years did today u cover everything no surprises. I used a 3/8 to 1/4 reducer as strut separator instead of a screwdriver. Worked great. Thank you

Great video and good, thorough explanation. You referenced the video where you listened to the noise it was making prior to replacement. I can't find that on your page. Can you send me a link? I think that's what I have going on with my 2008 335i

Great video Chris! I'm Not looking forward to doing this job, i just replaced the rear wheel bearings about 3 weeks ago. They were a pain in the butt because the drive axles were blocking the bolts holding the hub assembly. But, it was very satisfying when that groaning noise was gone. :) looking forward to your next DIY!

hi, this sway bar thingy at 17:30 is for the auto headlight adjustment sensor. as you mentioned it's on the passenger side only. it has nothing to do with height control. this has to similar sensors on the back, nice work thank you

I have a question. I removed my front passenger side tire for some inspections. When I tried to replace the tire I had to hold the tire in place to start the lug bolts. The little flange that usually sticks out was not there. Is this normal or do I have to replace something? Had I not been at home with other tools I would have had a serious problem. Any suggestions would be great.

That strut looks like a pain. Good job done. Those control arms will make a huge difference, they are often overlooked by mechanics on 5 and 7 bmws. Those bushings absorb bumps and dampen vibrations. I have found the first sign of ware is when the car looses steering precision under moderate braking. In my opinion they should be changed after 2 - 3 sets of front tyres. Make sure you get a quality part.

Can this cause ABS, parking brake and traction control lights to all come on? I’m having a problem with the right rear on the same car, scan tool points to the sensor so I bought a new one. The lights seem to go off after letting the car sleep but once I start driving they all come back on again, also I replaced the ABS MODULE but the same thing keeps happening

Do you need to realign/axel-measurement your car because you took it all out and off?

Are they all machined surfaces? Probably to a thousandth of an inch or better? Automatic Numerical Control. Alignment is to an eighth or a sixteenth. .125 or .0625. Therefore. No.
