Hychika Mini Chainsaw, what is inside, does it work well?

Hychika reached out to me see if I would be willing to review their Mini Chain saw. This was a surprising review, some parts of this saw are pretty well made and others are rather questionable.

Good test and video and clearly a great saw! I was thinking that your filings from the rough edge of the reservoir may clog up the little oil pump, but evidently they didn't. On all my saws (five different makes), the pumps seem to be the most problematic parts and stop pumping at the drop of a hat.

Outstanding review my friend! The Chinese must have a grease shortage in China. I see the lack of grease in other bearings for other machine needs. Recently purchased new blade bearings for my garden tractor. And yes, the new bearings required grease packing. I think it’s by design. Not good business intentions! If it was Japanese the grease level would have be perfect.

I did consider not adding any grease to see how long it would last the way it came from the factory but I couldn't bring myself to put it back together with so little grease.

After one week of using mine, it blocked. I dismantled it and found that the nylock you show in 10:11 had loosened and was blocking gears. Do you think it can run without the nylock, that gear do not seem to move from there without the nylock

Hello friend, I was going to buy this saw, but after your video I somehow changed my mind) how long have you been using it, are you satisfied or not? what saw can you recommend besides this one.I will be grateful for the answer!

I have only used it a little bit since I posted the video. It's still working just fine although I do wonder how long the gears will last. I haven't tried another brand of saw so I don't know what is good. I recently started using the saw at our saw mill to cut up slabs and it has been working well. It will be getting a lot more use in the next few months. So far it has held up and been pretty useful.

@@diyVT But apparently this is one of the best-selling saws on Amazon, it is quickly sold out compared to other models
