I saw Dizzy in L.A. one time at a cozy club in south central, second show, and there was only one other 'white person' in the joint, Tom Waits. An unforgettable performance and a sweet time had by all. The man's genius is evident in his music.

Under Castro people like Dizzy never saw the real people. Always see the “happy” people.

The Prime Minister of Canada was all too happy to sing the praises of Fidel when he died and was taken aback that many Cubans here were mighty upset about him glorifying a man who they rightfully despised.
