People who talk ish about others waiting to sue have apparently never experienced trauma before. It takes years and sometimes a lifetime to work through trauma like that and every court case/lawsuit etc is like her being victimized again. It breaks my heart tbh. Prayers to her.

Exactly. Many people do not realize the pursuit of justice can be difficult. Like you mentioned mental health plays a role and she might not have the right support system around her. The logistics as well plays a huge role. Even if she is a fiery personality there’s many factors. Like Tisa mentioned her citizenship status, poor attitudes of local governmental authorities. Depending on who someone is going after(a lot of people/entities with large followings like Akademiks will discredit and defame victims to try to get ahead of being sued. Maybe even payoff people not to work with the victim in gaining justice.) There’s finding the right legal representation, sometimes racing against state statutes, making filing and court dates deadlines, and having enough money. Trying to keep as sane as possible bc these jobs certainly don’t care and hate that people have lives outside of work. Doesn’t matter the fact that you’re involved in any legalities businesses punish you if you have to appear for even a protected right like taking off for jury duty. It’s a lot harder to sue than people realize and anyone who tries to talk a victim out of it or shame them that it’s a money-grab are cowardly.

I am not convinced that Akademiks is guilty. I'm not at all saying she wasn't drugged or that she has a low tolerance... but hot tubs do accelerate the effects of alcohol (and whatever was put into the drink), bc it reaches the bloodstream quicker. Which is why some refer to hot tubs as "the accelerator". There was actually a doctor in Colorado, I believe last year, that got arrested for doing this to multiple women. Trauma is real. It takes people years to gain the strength to come forward nonetheless advocate for themselves. I hate when people say why didn’t they come forward when it first happened. Trauma doesn’t work like that. You’re literally paralyzed for a long time before you can make sense of what happened to you. That’s why victims pop up years later. I know, it took me until I 54 on trauma that happened to me in childhood. Trauma paralyzes you for years. That’s how serious it is 😢 and that’s how profoundly it affects you!

I’m going to be honest. Seeing how Akademiks acted on the Fresh and Fit podcast towards women, these allegations are not at all surprising. What bothers me most is that it seems that these actions are appearing to be the “norm” when at the “top.” Drake, Diddy, others, it looks like it’s a lifestyle when a lot of people achieve power. It only amplifies what is already there beneath the surface. To me, it is the result of “capitalism.” I’m not talking about being communist. I’m talking about the fact that one damn near needs to be either a sh*tty person, a sociopath or psychopath sprinkled with narcissism to reach the top and it points to the sad state of affairs of our society. All of this is coming out as a warning that we need to change. As much as I love Kendrick…he’s part of the problem too. If it about stopping Drake, then he needs to release what he has and take him out of power permanently. UMG/others be damned because it has to stop.

It seems like Kendrick doesn’t hold the evidence though and that guy in X has the actual evidence. I believe Kendrick was told by hearsay and doesn’t have anything “concrete” to take these guys out. Just wanted the world to know what he’s heard and others have said… so that MAYBE someone would come forward.
