DJ Cash Money and DJ Jazzy Jeff took DJin' to a whole new level back in the day (After Grandmaster Flash and other NY DJ's)...they helped pave the way for the new cats but they still can get funky with the best of them. Philly stand up!!

Found this randomly. Biz spazzing at the Run DMC routine was a thing of beauty. Weird to think I've been rocking Cash Money sets for nearly 30 years now. One of the best.

We was spoiled in Philly when it came to DJ's. Our 8:00 and 9:00 opening DJ's was smashing DJ's all over the country. Dont forget Tat Money. He went on just before Jeff or Cash.

erickonasis - Dude...Mad props to both Jazzy Jeff and Cash Money....the thing you have to remember is...during that time when these guys step on the seen...there were cats in the parks of Brooklyn, Queens, and DA Bronx that were equally as good but did not have the exposure....like DJ Red Alert and DJ Kool Herc would make you lose control......even today if you ever get to Brooklyn and ride the A train from 125th and Douglas in Harlem....you may get a glimpse of DJ Peace.....This guy is from the late 70's and has a makeshift system with two TTs hot wired to a boom box and what looks like two Rascal batteries and he is every bit as good as all of the above.....I love'em all but it's hard to say who is the best. But would love to see a battle between Jazzy jeff, Cash Money, Jam Master J(RIP) and Kut Kreator and then I can die.......

I'm from Harlem and there was nobody who came out in the parks with their equipment including myself who had the skills of Cash or Jazzy Jeff. In the mid 70s to early 80s, we never even heard of this guys and we thought there was not much else to be done on the turntables we were using, then they came out with the technic 1200s and that changed. The turntables we were using in the parks were physically incapable of doing the stuff they're doing because the turntables we used back then we're less than $100. I also saw Flash, Theodore, Masterdon, Wiz kid, Jazzy Jay and none of them were in the same league as Cash or Jeff.

PHILLY!!!! back in my day's in my hood we called philly NYC hip hop twins City,from schooly D, Dj Cash money,Dj jazzy Jeff,and we can forget Dj too tuff,when Tuff Crew hit every radio stations that's was 🔥Ey yo they style was unique , hardcore hip hop philly new flavor,Kool Keith from ultramagneric MC's and Ced Gee put them dude's on tour ,and just like that tuff Crew was on the road with NYC finest,back in 88 the rock the Miami baseball stadium together with PE,EPMD,BIG DADDY KANE and 2 live crew one of the best hip hop show that I ever seen💯👑🤘
