I finally caved in and designed a new all white podium style dj setup for my wedding business. I did 2 gigs with it so far, 12-2-23 and 12-8-23. Everyone loved it. You can see it in this video. Thank you to DJ Peck from Lavish Life Events for giving me the inspiration for this setup.

Got to admit brother you have up graded big time , set up looks great !!! love it , i think for smaller gigs the table and scrim still works great , but BOOM the all white looks Awesome!! keep it going 2lagit !!

Oh yes brother! I haven't completed abandoned the table and scrim altogether lol. I'm still gonna use table/scrim when I see fit. But now I have another classier/fancier option to offer too. That's all. 😉

That's pretty dope. You should try building one out of a desks. That's what I plan on doing. I think you should incorporate some xlr connection underneath your booth also add power con connection for fasters setup and break down. You could also modify your flight case as well. Keep rolling bro. You are the blue collared Dj. Much respect. I notice one side of the both was higher than the other. Salute

Thanks lol. Yeah the riser they had me on in the first gig was not level. One side was higher than the other. Notice on the 2nd gig it wasn't leaning. Looking forward to seeing what you build!

I own two of those EV 18 subs the are amazing, but for small partys I think the are two big and heavy, no so heavy like the double 18 but still, I want to buy next year those EV Evolve 50, will be more easy for small venues and look and sound great :)

Wow your new setup looks incredible! Its also awesome how you customized it to fit your needs. I know about the totems but I'm really curious to see what you used as the base of the second setup you used -- I have been thinking about getting something just like that for my own Lavish Life DJ Peck inspired setup too! Liking the white set-up👍🏾.. You seem to really stick w the Evolve 50s .. Would u use them with a separate subwoofer for a space like the 2nd event at the casino?

Thanks! Man that's a good question. I'm gonna say no. The reason is because that ballroom is really big and my 18" subs with my 15" tops sound amazing in there! I like the Evolve ev-50s for smaller weddings or corporate gigs because of how they look. Clients love the look and they do sound good to the general public.

I’m still all about a table I need to work my way up I’m in no position to spend that kind of money on a custom booth but you on the other hand definitely are you’ve been doing it for a long time I’m just getting started

In the first clip those EV 50’s in that big of a space def didn’t do much. You need at least two 18’s cause the ceiling is so high. The acoustics in that venue had to of been terrible. Need some arena size speakers to really move bass in that huge area. Just my opinion

I had a meeting with the staff there before the gig. The head engineer consulted with me about gear. He advised against bringing 18 inch subs which was my plan. He said the 12 inch subs would work better in that space. I trusted his judgment and he was right. The sound really carried in that big space. Everyone could hear and feel the music very well. The client was extremely happy with me and has already asked me back for next year.

@@DJ2Legit007 that’s dope. And he’s prob right with two 18’s the sound would be bouncing all over those walls and ceiling. Sometimes it really sucks to play in venues where the sound just gets trapped cause the buildings are never sound proof. I’m sure spreading them out more would of def helped fill the room as well.

SoundSwitch IS the software. The Control One is the hardware that controls the software. You can use the software without the Control One if you want to. Hope that answers your question.

@@islandvibe3855 No you can not. The Control One is only a midi device that sends midi commands to control the software. It's the software (Soundswitch) that controls the lights. The Control One will not work without Soundswitch software.

Yes. It is much better to put speakers, subs mainly on the floor.

You already sold your black rf4s?? Honestly I’ve never had anyone complain about having black up lights. I have a mixture of black RF4s and white wedges and I’ve never had anyone say hey man, I noticed that some of those are white. And of course I have them all together. It’s not just mixing match. Anyway, nice set up.

I honestly don’t see the hype with the tube lights. They have an extremely weak throw. Much rather use uplights around the venue to really light that place up. To each their own though. Just seems like every DJ on KZfaq is backing them and I just don’t see the overall ambiance.
