The apelabs sticks are the truth! A lot of these knock off lights look like carnival lighting. The fastest table is great for beach parties and other laid back events, not really for weddings. I use a Bunn command center and have a humpter on the way. Great stuff bro!

Cool video as always Aaron. That table is a glorified keyboard stand with a board and a Skrim. No use for an Irish wedding. Any gear on it would end up in pieces on the floor with drunken guestd

Been there with the dancefloor dipping after the first song. But like you said. I just put my head down and did what I do best and fill that bad boy back up until we rages the rest of the night. But regarding the table, I have to many back up options on my table to shrink down. LOL! That's what's been stopping me from moving over to the furniture style stands. Thanks for posting Aaron.

Functionally, the Rockville stand checks all the boxes. It's inexpensive, the setup is very fast, it's a great height, it has a small foot print, you can conceal things behind it, and light it up. My rack, subwoofer, clipboard, drinks/food, etc can all fit under it if needed. However, I am very interested in a "minimalist/furniture" style setup as well. I will be experimenting putting the rack behind me, then a minimalist table/stand with the few required things on it. I'd thought about one of those Apex keyboard stands which is just a single skinny column. I run my Mac Mini in my rack so I've got a 23" monitor and wireless keyboard/mouse along with my DDJ controller. It's a few more pieces, but ergonomically it's really nice.
@AaronStrawn
@AaronStrawn 2 жыл бұрын
How come you don't use a laptop?
@donnycollins1797
@donnycollins1797 2 жыл бұрын
@@AaronStrawn That's a great question! I always bring my a six space rack for my power distribution, mixer, DMX and wireless receiver. The MacMini is also in that rack, already connected up to AC power, external SSD, mixer and DMX distribution. Headphones are also already connected and stored in the rack. So, even though I connect power and HDMI to the monitor, I think I'm actually making less cable connections overall, and I get the benefit of a larger display and better positioned keyboard/mouse. Also, the MacMini is a lot of computer for the money. I've thought about a laptop a lot though. I may make a video tour of my rack and booth since I've not seen anyone else do this.
@AaronStrawn
@AaronStrawn 2 жыл бұрын
If you got it all run I can see that, but yeah, carrying around a big computer monitor seems like extra work. Could have a sleeker look as well with a laptop. Ever have anyone just browsing google on it? 😂
@donnycollins1797
@donnycollins1797 2 жыл бұрын
@@AaronStrawn LOL, no request to browser Google yet! Maybe that's my upsell! It's positioned on the front corner of the table/booth so people can see me really good and lifts right off its stand, so it sets up about as fast as a laptop. It's transport case is just like a laptop, just bigger. Hopefully I can do a video for this weeks setup. I've been wanting to do that, just to get opinions.

Clearing the dancefloor with that heavy american hip hop would happen here in Germany, too... I think you started too heavy there, but in America, there might be parties, where that works. I start my weddings with a little chart-house stuff like Joel Corry - head & heart or Riton - Friday. ... same thing that after setting the bar for a little "chart music", I often have to switch to German beat-music which corresponds to Country-Music I guess.
@djerniet350
@djerniet350 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah nick in America classic hip hop works - 2000's, just as the chart house works more in Germany. I am introducing chart house during cocktail hour at my younger weddings. So that I can drop in some the chart bangers like Riton -Friday and Joel Corry - Head & Heart, during the dance hours.

@@AaronStrawn I get that. Their sound modes are by far the best I think anywhere. You turned me on to Soundswitch awhile back. I was overwhelmed at first and didn’t like losing most control but now with the control one I autoscripted my whole library in one evening and have auto loops for anything new like Tidal downloads. Easy to black out or whatever now. Good thing too so I can get double the lights for the money!

Y lo más importante como dijiste, los recién casados es lo más importante q bailen. Las ape lights se ven brutales pero tienen un precio un poco alto. Continúa con tu excelente trabajo de videos. That little girl videobombing you hahaha so cute! I love that you left it in the final cut :) Great video again! Definitely didn’t look like a very glamorous wedding… I always play a couple of the bride’s “requests” when the dance floor clears, just to get them out of the way for cheap haha. They ALWAYS come back at some point during the night anyways. Unless it’s a dry wedding then it’s pretty boring all evening. Sorry but that table looks cheap cheap cheap… send it back! Question: couldn’t you stick the sticks (haha) on the front grill rather than the side? I think they’d look much cooler in front!

I’ve been using the Ape Labs products for approximately two years now and got turned onto them by DJ Rachel and DJ Brian redd. Great products. Nice simple setup too. Regarding the fastset Table, it’s awesome. It’s great for doing a small easy setup. Got that a few years ago thanks to Cleveland Terry.
