One of the most overlooked aspect to stepping is the hand play, notice that every move is precipitated by hand play which gives feel and direction to the next move. Hand play sets up the character to each partner. Stepping is an art, you can’t teach this at a dance studio with an instructor. Yes you can learn to step but it doesn’t mean one can STEP!
