I remember Paul Elstak racing through my hometown in his Ford Escort always blasting hardcore. He came on a regular base through and you could hear him a mile away. Now, 30 year later, I still love his music, seen him a dozen+ times live and I just go down memory lane every time I hear his music.

@@Jim-rx8eh In this context : Hardcore = Gabber. For example the Thunerdome tracks from the ID&T label, very popular in 90s Netherlands. It was a whole subculture called Gabber. It originated in Villa Parkzicht in Rotterdam in the early 90s when DJ started to experiment with the Roland T909 to see what weird stuff they could do with it. The subculture also included : Bald or other strange haircuts, colourful tracksuits, mailny by the brand Australia, mopeds, mdma fuelled raves, that sort of thing. As a spinoff and to appeal to a wider audience, happy hardcore emerged from gabber, a sort of poppy version.

So proud that dj Paul Elstak is Dutch! I was about 9 years old when he became famous. The beginning of a era when everybody in the Netherlands wearing Australian suits and Nike air max and everybody who was going to a party took a extasy pill. 😅 (not me, I never did drugs).

This hi-nrg happy hardcore track is just insane! ))) One of the best happy hardcore tunes ever on the dancefloor! My most favotite parts are powerful 'K&A's Rave Blast' synth hoover riffs. Just like these happy hardcore tracks I love. Absolutely genious ))) song that I always keep in my heart for about 25 years. Every time I listen to this I feel so fine!
