As a lifetime vinyl DJ, who began collecting records before CDs were invented (or at least before they were commercially available), even I have to admit that there is no perceptible latency, or "digital fucking delay" as you call it, with Serato. We're talking nanoseconds here. I love seeing DJs spin classic vinyl records, and often perform my own sets using only vinyl, but digital technology has opened up many creative avenues, and allows for performances that simply aren't possible using just records. I'll be the first to call out a DJ using digital technology as a crutch, and relying on smacking buttons in lieu of developing skills and precise techniques, but literally nothing any of these three DJs do in this clip is any way diminished by their use of a vinyl Serato control record triggering a digital file rather than a traditional audio record.

shortkut is on some next level cutting playa...his stabs and transformers are beyond what qbert and dstyles can deliver...they will even admit it. he is clean and got the ability to execute very complex patterns and make it just seem too easy...he is one of my all time favs...just saying...ez
