I agree with you about JHope. I don’t know how to describe it but he just brings that ‘swag’/texture to a song? And yes he does it every time!!! He must be a prodigy to know what a song needs. That’s why he’s my bias 😂

I did also find not only the music but the video much like Daechwita. I saw a comment that it was shot at the same time and intended as an extension of Daechwita. If that is true then they achieved that intent. From the color scheme, the scar and the fiery water dunking scene it travelled along the Daechwita vein.

It was meant to be a sort of repetition, to show the cycle of corruption, but the main difference was shown in the lyrics. Also he actually said he expected people to think it was more of the same, but it had a purpose to be that way

Suga’s music can’t be fully appreciated unless one take time to listen to the lyrics. What separates them from the rest is all about their lyrics, beauty of their ability to use Korean & English in their poetry. I can’t take Jino seriously with his critique when he only is taking in 1/2 of what BTS releases. And am convinced reason he’s not an army is because he’s choosing to tune out the lyrics. He’s a bystander, fascinated with Army & BTS but too fixed in his way of not listening to lyrics and limiting his experience with music
@sofialuu8162

Well,he never said he was an army😂besides, his area of expertise is the music and if the lyrics don't interest him that much i actually prefer him to not pay them any mind instead of forcing himself to care, the result would be a subpar and not as honest review and i really don't care for that. There's so many reactors out there anyway so when I want to hear someone's opinion about the storyline, lyrics and meaning of a song i can simply turn to them

@@sofialuu8162 I thought that was what songs are, THE LYRICS, THE STORY, PLUS THE BEAT, THE RYTHM. I am confused because most people listen to songs because of lyrics and how they make them feel. I am not defending Suga's music, I don't care much for rap but at least Suga raps to a rythm and not just shouting it out. There is a certain group of people who like rap so this will be successful with them. I am not one of them, even though I love Suga or Yoongi. 😊❤❤❤

No matter what he does, it always becomes larger than life. His music is timeless and here to stay. For me at least. He has been my ult bias for over 4 years and has always delivered, soul shattered me. ( I never understood how Jino could evaluate his music without looking into his lyrics, lol. Its like tasting a 5 star Micheline restaurant meal with heavy flue, not being able to taste anything :-) Suga´s music is all about uniquely honest, unapologetic, raw delivery of lyrical content. That´s his forte and also the biggest value. He reaches out, connects, challenges, communicates... nobody like him in that regard. Modern folks with attention span of a golden fish will find his music challenging. Listening to his stuff in order to be able to appreciate it fully you have to have patience and open heart. Not everyone is like that. With Suga its always substance and content ( + context ) over trickster-y and effects. He doesn´t create music to score popularity points or ride on a trend - he creates music that cleanses his soul and touches our´s with impact that can´t be matched in modern music. I hardly ever get emotional over music, but he does it each and single time. Can´t treasure him enough and could never trade him for anybody else. A diamond.

@@danisu9393 Oh absolutely, he is a genius architect of musical composition. Personal preferences in music will blur our judgment naturally. I happen to love classical and rock so Yoongi´s beloved use of guitars sit beyond well with me, as an example. I love how he bridges his previous work to the current one. I love his parallels and symbolism in everything. I always say, you can enjoy Yoongi´s work for catchy beat and flow only but to truly appreciate his genius, you have to let go of your defenses and open your heart. Snooze took my breath away and is on constant repeat since the album dropped. To say that Yoongi stagnates and has not evolved as an artist as some stated in this comment section after hearing Polar Nights or Snooze is pretty crazy to me. I never care for fresh trends or charts when it comes to music. I am led by how it speaks to me and how it transforms me:-) D-Day is an incredible work and I am touched by its depth and beauty over and over and over. Happy to hear NME rated D-Day with 5 stars. Well deserved.

38:45 to me it sounds just fine, yeah the vocal line is louder then the beat which is like better imo to hear what the rapper is saying. But Daechwita had quiter more in mix vocals, and highs were not so much louder, so its probably just how Yoongi wanted to mix it i guess, which is like, cant blame him, it still goes hard imo. If you meet Yoongi please don't tell him any critiques about the song. That's the last thing he would want to hear literally before going on stage alone for the first time... He already had problems on going on stage years ago. Now he's ok but really, artists need to have a mentality of "i'm the king, i'm the boss" right before going on stage and not that their music is not that good or need changes. There are better times for good criticism and it's just really not it. Please.

I was looking forward to the album a lot but can't help but feel rather disappointed. I feel like the quality of work was much better on previous ones but good for those who enjoyed this

the quality is objectively quite high, your preference is subjective. and that's coming from me who actually enjoyed d-2 more.

The quality is objectively much higher than both previous releases from a production and lyrical stand point, don't know what you're on about.

D-Day is incomparable. From rythm, tones, beats, lyrics its beyond perfect to me. Suga/Agust D is even a master of flows, legit rapper. but i dont condemn yours and the reactors opinion so repect mine as well.

I will ask question free to give opinion ,,,,,what if jimin did this MV all the haters comes out and said bad impluwence because of cigarate,,,,,,,,,,but when it comes to suga they said its cool,,,,,soo it means that jimin is always the target of haters

why are you comparing things that didn't happen? If you want to defend Jimin, you don't need to ask what if questions. yoongi is always known as savage and challenging haters, in the eyes of the army, he is the front guard protecting bts. while jimin is known as the sweetest, polite and sensitive member. so views like that affect people, like Tae and JK who were blasphemed by kpopies because of cigarettes and vape

Jimin's whole photofolio was based on LGBTQ which is a major issue in Korea but no one dragged him down cos he is an adult just like that Suga did smoking and he said he done it cos society thinks Idols are not supposed to do it,Both Jimin and Suga broke some stereotypes so pls don't compare them

Yoongi's not showing any growth. This album is just a recycled album from his previous mixtapes. Literally the worst solo album for now.

He is about to end his trilogy album, he even said haegeum is an extension of daechwita. Of course this album, It'll still be related to his previous work. Most of the tracks was done the same time as D-2, so what do you expect? "Worst album" nah, you just listened to it while having a finished judgement in mind.

You have no clue about music. This album is objectively better in terms of production and lyrics compared to the previous 2 releases. It's ok to no vibe with it but don't talk about stuff that you have no clue about. I mean it's literally the best reviewed album out of the 3.

I found d day to be brilliant closure to his Agust D trilogy. We’ve been allowed to see his work in progress. Do you realize how many times painters revisit their previous work and show V2,3,4?

Nah you're definitely a hater or some other member's solo, dumbass said the same thing about Jimin's album which by all means is an outstanding album. D-Day is a part of a trilogy, so of course there's gonna be similarities but the album's fire.

@@myrthelmay1073 so a trilogy should be a recycled album? Got it lmao. Y'all be saying anything to defend his shtty album.
