Hi. I rarely comment on your reactions because I'm more of a silent subscriber. But I just wanted to share how I feel about this song because reading everyone's make me feel kinda comforted. I can't listen to Blue and Grey in public, because I will always cry. The first time I heard the snippey of this on In The Soop while Tae was canoeing, I also cried to. Watching him get lost with the everything around him and the song makes me cry so hard cos at that moment I also felt how deep and raw the message of the song is even tho I can't understand anything at the time. So when I heard Tae's first lines here, I knew it was that song and I just bursted out crying and kinda scared to read lyrics translations. This song just made me feel heard and comforted. And i don't know why it's always Tae's songs that manage to get these feelings out of me. His songs made me feel it's okay to be honest to other people about how you feel but most especially to your ownself. I just hope Tae knows how much his songs and lyricism comforts people. I'm sorry this is so long. Thank you for your honest reactions, Jino. Always.

I think V has been underestimated for a long time now. Probably because he’s drop dead gorgeous and such an idol performer. But there is a lot of depth to him and I think that shows in songs like Winter Bear and even songs he chooses to cover like Someone like you. I love the album and it’s bops but Blue and Grey is brilliant.

I can't put into words how happy I'm that you liked Tae so much in this album. I know you think at him only as a handsome face,you even said it but he is so much more and I'm not saying it because he is my bias,I say it because he really is. He may not sing as correctly as jungkook and almost perfect all the time but for me he puts so much emotion in every song of his that it doesn't matter who sings correctly the most,it matter more who makes me feel things when I hear their voices. I really feel like in this time he worked for the album and for his mixtape he found his comfort zone and they are finally using his natural voice correctly. I feel like Tae was so confused on how to use his voice because bh in the first years they only put him to growl in almost all the songs and in the recent years the majority of their songs were made to fit the other 3 members and even tho tae can hit high notes too his voice is made for songs like this. Till this dsy I can't believe that they gave him the least lines in the truth untold a song that was fitting his voice so much. Now working alone on his mixtape outside bts he tried different genres and styles and I feel (don't know for sure just my opinion) that he finally got confident with his voice. We've seen constantly this year how good he got at singing live and how stable he is and even in the online concert I feel like his vocals were so stable.It is like we are seeing a totally different new and raw side of Tae in this album and I just love this so much. All the members shine in this album in different parts but hearing Tae in this songs,having lines and the songs fitting his voice made me so happy.

This album and song proved to me that Taehyung is a versatile vocalist. He has a fantastic voice, and i feel like the best is yet to come. He did say that he was going to be experimenting with his vocal range and different genres for his mixtape. I'm looking forward to hear more great songs from him. He's very talented.

Taehyung is my bias and I am very proud of him on this album. His voice is perfect, which makes me more anxious about mixTaepe. Blue & Grey would be for their mixTaepe, but they decided to insert it on the album. (sorry for the mistakes, I used a translator)

I was soo afraid for your reaction Jino lol, especially for this one, bcz it was such a special song for me. The fact that Tae wrote most of the lyrics make it extra hard for me. Bcz he wrote his mixtape songs at a time he was having so much hardships. In one or two year everyone was saying Tae had a depression, he is not happy etc. I don't really like when people say these things continuously. But yeah he has been through some things, he accepted it in the press conference. He said he had a burnout and felt like he was overcoming it with writing lyrics. I remember those times, he wouldn't sleep at nights and come to Weverse to get some love and support. We didn't know what he was feeling, why he was not sleeping but yeah.. The thing is we all have those different problems and people related to those lyrics so much. Probably one of the biggest reasons why quite a lot of people liked it. But I learned technical quality of it with you ofc lol, I don't really know about those I just knew it was my fav song (along with Dis-ease). Anyways I spoke a lot again. Jin's last lines always make me tear up, he sounds like he's holding back tears

when i heard blue and grey for the first time i was literally sobbing. the way Jin sang “i just wanna be happier..” after suga’s rap part and Jin’s vibrato at the end of the song, he sounds like holding back the tears it gives me a heartache feelings. idk how to say it but it feels like personal attack. his voice and the way he sang it just hits me so-damn-hard. and i will never stop expressing my appreciation for Jin’s heavenly falsetto when him and Jungkook beautifully harmonized together.. their voices are truly honey to my ears. (and for the vmin as well!) Seokjin for me was truly the MVP of this song. Taehyung also confirmed it on their Vlive comeback, he said that Seokjin’s part was perfect for him and how he really loves Seokjin’s voice there. and i am truly happy and proud with all the responses of Blue & Grey. well deserved Tae! something BIG will come that will even make the WORLD even more proud of him! can’t stop thinking about what we are about to get on kth1. i can't wait for it to happen.

I hope V puts the original on his upcoming mixtape. It was hauntingly beautiful. He’s really coming into himself as an artist now.

Jinkook's voices fit so well together Also, I never knew that vmins voices would sound amazing together until Friends was released, but then now I love hearing their voices together. Tae has a low and deep colour while Jimin has a more high pitched and sweet tone, which I didn't know fit together so well hahahaha Jinkook and vmin are currently my favourite vocalist pairings in BTS hahaaha

Blue & Grey is also co-produced by Nive, an Indie musician who based his work on jazz and hiphop. He mesh well with V's musical taste. I love how BTS blending their voice more and more on the audio version. I really love Jin's voice here, I think song with this pace fits him too. But, I love all of their all effort on this song.

Blue & Grey will probably be one my favourite songs for a long time. It's so soothing & definitely deserved its success. B&G debuted at no.13 on hot100, the highest position a BTS bside ever charted💜

V is so unique he is such a unique baritone, he didn't get the chance to show that in BTS songs before that's why a lot of people see him as a beatiful face, his dream has always been to be a singer like he said he wanted to sing his songs on stage , his taste in music is also unique he loves Jazz and classical music opera , he listens to legends in classsic music and he dreams to perform in their stage ,in those lyrics he writed he talked about the depression he went through and not living his dreams is one of the reasons of his depression , he once said in a concert he will sing in his dream for his fans and his eyes were full of tears and that's why in blue and grey he said" i am singing by myself ", he also cried once during truth untold and another time they turned off his camera , one time he cried when they finished the concert, he is so sensitive he doesn't show that but he is not just the playful boy we see , he said in mbc radio that he had a lot of worries and now he is just trying to be happy and once in bon voyage jin told him that he wishes V would be able to do his dreams while working with BTS , because V has different dreams ,he is so passionate about music and acting and he wants to do musical theatre , he said once i am here for the members ,and when jin revealed in the MAMA that they were about to disband he looked in V's direction and V was the only one who cried so hard jin also said he is thankful for the members who choosed to stay and i am sur that was V, he is so talented and so genious when it comes to art , sometimes i think that it would be better for him if he had debuted as a singer not a vocalist in a kpop band , because his style and his taste and dreams are so different ,that's why in his lyrics he said i am singing by myself , i hope one day he will be able to live his dreams and the life he wants because it's the only way he would be able to feel happy, and maybe that's why bang pd the chairman told him to tone it down, if you watch the video of him singing live you will definitly find he is the best also his cover for adel someone like you , bighit didn't give him the chance that's why he is strugling

I think this is my favorite song on the album right now. It"s a very emotional song and i absolutely sobbed my eyes out when i read the lyrics. It hits even harder now.. Jin's middle range finally used to it's full potential. Him and Jk together sounded soo good. And Vmin too. Loved the last chorus using Jimin's lower voice and Tae's ending .

The whole album is amazing, idk about you but this is my favorite BTS album (I love all btw) but this album speaks to me in a very intimate and special way, it's very healing and comforting, and I needed it... Also It's really nice to see people appreciate tae's talents and vocals (especially jino lol), he really did shine the whole album, his use of his vocals are very diverse and creative!! and the fact that he's getting more confident about songwriting and producing makes me even more proud of him, blue & grey is definitely my favorite track on the album and it's so him, can't wait for his mixtape!! I am getting low key mad that Jin heavenly quality to his voice has been used merely for the melody foundation building in this song ( as in the rest of this album). What a shame. Good job by everybody else. Jimin twinkly voice is a cherry on the cake but Suga´s part was easily my favorite portion of the whole song and I find it incredibly hilarious that Jino admitted of getting internal shakes and shivers when he heard him rapping and yet he intentionally ignores lyrical content which is 50% of Yongi´s geniality.

I think anyone whoever dealt with depression can relate to this song. You can tell them it’s ok, but no....it’s not always ok. Sugarcoated words will only temporarily heal like a bandage. People who have depression need more than that. “Please don’t tell me it’s ok, because it’s not ok....”

you had the same reaction as me, after just one listen i said i loved this song even more than life goes on despite the fact that i really love life goes on. i just loved how beautiful, moving and clear their voices were and the emotion they expressed so deeply. they expressed so much emotion with care and it really proves that singing ability isn't measured just by how high of a note someone can hit. also taehyung has producing and writing credits and this was originally his song that was supposed to e part of his mixtape but apparently both the company and the members liked it so much that it ended up on BE. no wonder, not only is it gorgeous but it also fits the mood of this release well. some people expected life goes on to be the second coming of spring day before release, but to me this song is a lot closer to the moving emotions of spring day and if i'd have to name a song on BE that is closest to the experience spring day gives it'd be blue and grey.

Jin is a super star on this album. I love his medium tones - his and JK’s. V’s, Jin’s and Jimin’s voices -have made leaps and bounds in tone and strength. Actually they have all caught up with JK. And now they are a real unit melding their unique sounds together. It’s all beautiful. And Suga’s flow and tone are so great here. Great song.

The "I want to be happier" matched Jin's voice to a T. His voice is sooo fragile. I've been telling it non stop his voice goes well with ballads or slow songs. And Jungkook to blend in makes it even more modern and impactful. Plus the outro was amazing. And same! I wasn't into it in the beginning because the snippet I heard in the soop was V's intro, i thought it was going to be just an acoustic guitar focus track that's very common in iddylic songs. But blew me away. The lyrics even made it more impactful

This song came out after my grandfather passed away. But grief is not a straight path so this song just broke me because I kept telling myself that I was ok but I knew deep inside I was at a low point. This song is very personal to me.

This song was originally written by Taehyung in full English (you can hear it from a scene in In The Soop), but he later changed the lyrics to Hangul when everybody asked him to included the song in BE (except Yoongi's and Namjoon's rap parts, I think)

Thank you Tae for showing us a part of your emotion,sometimes we are not okay,and it's okay to admit. I blame my nature of overthinking,and i've always felt V is exactly like that, i sometimes read his nature and character and see myself(been following them since 2013).But of course i could be wrong too I cried without knowing the translation,and cried more with the translation.This song makes me realise I'm not okay.It's nostalgic and melancholic,giving me the blues,it pushed me to my limit and now i explode.
