@@SirTomFoolery The rep really struggled to recover that one hahaha. Kinda stammers like, "yeah, that's the trade off". He did not expect that bluntness. DJ is just referring to stability shafts though, not this specific new shaft. He's just saying he has tried the actual stability shafts and they feel terrible, so this shaft is trying to offer the stability, but also feel good. Sounds like he's trashing this new shaft though

I noticed that!! Rory went back to the blade a few weeks ago and is no longer using the copper spider X... I was sad.. hopefully he'll Switch back. the original Spider tour and the spider X are the best in the spider line... these new ones are a no-go for me

@@bigdrews366 i noticed that! Being a lifelong GA Resident, I Saw him on the putting green Tuesday this week in person during the practice round. I was super happy to see him holding the spider X... His caddy was holding a blade putter to scoop the balls out of the hole, but Rory never touched it... Really hope he stays with the spider x. it's his inconsistent iron swings that are hurting him, not his putting imo... I'm pretty biased to the TM spider... DJ also missed the cut with his Spider Tour Black w black shaft, which is actually my favorite of all the spiders Cheers

Interesting point! yet, all it proves to me is that putting is pretty irrelevant nowadays.. Okay, maybe not irrelevant but last on the list of importance with how far the guys can hit the ball.. The worst Putters in rankings on that list are some of the best players on tour who win the most!! Morikawa and Dustin Johnson How about a FedEx Cup for 10 million and a masters last year from mr. Dustin Johnson. Also, Dustin Johnson won a few weeks ago in Saudi Arabia and he putted very poorly. In his final round he didn't sink a putt over 6 feet all day and walked off with the trophy...

Alex, I commented the same thing earlier DJ please don't ever switch from your original TaylorMade Spider tour black head with no sight line, black shaft, and white pistol 2.0 superstroke grip! I own 2 TaylorMade Spider tour black now because of Dustin Johnson! That sucker is going to make me go broke😂 I don't think they're selling his model anymore which is a 2017 model with no sight line and a Black Shaft.. they're super hard to find now.. You can find a lot of the non Black Shaft with the white sightline.. but none of the original from 2017 with either a red or black head, sterile no sight line complimented by a sweet Black Shaft...

The original spider tour is awesome I had the spider x last year and switch to Scotty just cause I like the blade a bit more, spider x just wasn’t doing it for me. I’ve said this so many time but all golf companies and the PGA tour itself needs to forking hire me as a social media manager because this video is a great example of a good idea done poorly. Great idea to have an open platform for the sponsored golfers give their initial reactions to putters but my god separate into a video for each putter and name it a “Review By The Pros” it’s more videos more content and easier for the consumer to digest. Also, we need more cameras. I’m supposed to watch these guys from 100 yards away?

tiger's in the cameron club. I wouldn't change my scotty for the spider. The spider is very hard for me to aim because i have such a strong forward press. It seems as if the front edge is so sharp and it wobbles when i am getting ready to putt...

Apparently they did with the new hydroblast finish. Mine is coming in a couple of days and I'll let you know.

@@KrishKumar-zk8rk Hydroblast performing great, the insert really rolls the ball nicely. Standard superstroke grip is also great. As far as the paint chippings, so far so good but I only played two rounds with the putter so I can’t really tell.

This Taylormade advertising on KZfaq is excellent. These guys pretending to discuss this "naturally" is a bit awkward. Good acting and trying to remember to mention keywords they were told to say "soft" "3 dots" "lines" etc. At times it's like they are trying not to laugh.

Hate to break it to you but those are his boxer briefs made for golf and come with a built-in bulge 😂 I don't know what brand they are, but a lot of the TaylorMade/Adidas guys wear them like Dustin Johnson and a few others.. I'm going to figure out what brand they are one day, because I'm positive they have a very rigid bulge built into them to look that way

I love the white chalk Spider X, and it's especially great when you play with shades.

@@mangemang0 That's a good point. I normally play at courses with minimal shades, especially during summer days at CA. I find a contrasting darker color from the putter to the glistening greens will provide better visual on lining up putts. 10:55 Rory seems to struggle on selling this idea.

@@youknowthedrill99 I can see where you're coming from; however, in recent years, there aren't any white top drivers in the line up. It's been awhile since manufacturers adopted such idea. We'll see if any of these TM members decide to put these white top putters in their bag.
