My in depth look at the new DJ Tech Mixer! So dope! I preordered mine from Japan, cause I couldn't wait... I heard it should be out in the states in August for $150!!! DJ Olllie.net

How did you added the blue glowing light around the plates? Is that EL wire?

I believe they're sold out... the pre orders were available at their website and had only 30 at the time... If still available, check out DJ Tech's site...

Really appreciate this video, Ollie. I bought the DIF-2S MKII, which I dig a lot. What I cannot figure out (With Rekordbox DVS, and a 4-channel soundcard, MOTU M4) is how to get 2 decks in Rekordbox (1 for DVS scratching on deck 1, 1 for DVS hip-hop instrumentals on deck 2). No matter how I wire it, set the settings.... I can get the cuts, but when I cut off my crossfader, the music cuts off. As in, it's all in Channel 1. Even with it being plugged into Channel 2. Cannot figure it out. Any tips? Thanks so much, dude.

Hey Chris, sorry to hear you having issues... it’s been years since I’ve used this mixer and I’m not to keen on Rekordbox, the DIF-2S and your sound card... I currently use Traktor Z2 and occasionally my Traktor Audio 10 sound card... with that knowledge I can try and offer some help... what’s your currrent specific wire settings? It sounds like you got it going but losing the dvs signal when cutting off the channel...

@@DJOllie Appreciate your ultra-fast reply, man! Yeah, I can't figure it out. As far as I know, the way the DVS works is you need to route it all like this: turntable 1 into Phono or Line 1 DVS send to soundcard ins 1 and 2 DVS return from soundcard out 1 and 2 turntable 2 into Phono or Line 2 DVS send to soundcard ins 3 and 4 DVS return from soundcard out 3 and 4 And then, all the sound you need comes out of the DIF-2S. Which it does. But again, I have no idea why the damn sound is cut out / sharing both channels. DJ Tech's support is nil from what I've heard from EVERYONE. But this mixer is dope. I also have a DDJ-1000 but so not happy with the jogwheels / scratching. It has a "wobbly", "bubbly" sound.. like phlegm. I'm not the only one experiencing this, too. For such a boutique controller, it's so disappointing that the jogwheels scratching is garbage. This is also present with Mac, which I tested also (I'm on Windows 7, 64-bit). DVS is just fine on both. But as a person who mainly just likes scratching over chill hip-hop instrumentals (I'm no expert, but it's fun learning/practicing)... the DIF and my two tables with timecode (Rekordbox or Serato both work perfectly) should get the job done for a lot less. :) Just trying to figure it all out. Thanks man!

@@DJOllie Yo man, I figured it out (and leaving this here for anyone else who might be experiencing weirdness). The secret is to use External Mixing, in Rekordbox Preferences-- Audio section, or Traktor "Output Routing" in Preferences. Not internal (Whoops). I tried this, but didn't have everything set right. Any decks I want music to play through, I set to Out 3 and 4 for instance, and my scratch track/decks to Out 1 and 2. With my Motu M4 card, Rekordbox allows you to duplicate the outputs in the Output section... so decks can share them. Traktor allows for this, too. That's the thing. Finally got this damn mixer working with DVS instrumentals, and DVS scratching with my Serato 7" vinyl on a Reloop Spin. Joy of joys... it took me like 2 days to figure everything out... haha. This mixer and the innofader is dope as hell. Thanks again man!

@@DopamineOverload Wow! That’s great to hear you finally figured it out man! I knew you had the right hardware connections and it had to be something in the software... which I wasn’t familiar with... good job bro... maybe you can post a vid showing your setup for others...

DUDE. Stones Throw-- I have the same scratch record. I think I like the djm 303 more, even though this has the cool dvs switch.

Its not made for all kinds of DJs, it's definitely made for scratch DJs. This is a nice mixer but they really should make a Mk-ii with balanced outs... and maybe full sized innofaders. But the simplicity is its charm i guess

will this take 3 innofaders?
