New serato 2.0 has a nice echo out now. but i still use the forward scratch out most of the time. try bringing it up at the last moment and press the stop on the turntable. sounds nice just before the first bar of the next song. so it is forward, forward,(down) and then go up 50 percent on the fader , then all the way break, lower fader. it is hard but sounds cool when you get it right.

Depending on what hardware you are using, make sure you have the correct channel selected in the record panel.

If you want to use Serato yes you do need the Serato audio interface connected.
