Someone needs to calmly run him through the flat out basics of FL. Like, poke and Jesse are good but they always usually jump to the more advanced things. He should get a professional or someone with atleast a good few years of experience to run him through the bare basics, like shortcuts and noob explanations for everything he does

pro tip: you can make the melody notes be on beat if you match up with the squares on the piano roll tab. if you think of it like minecraft you can see n count how many sqaures before it hits the next 2nd bar, so basically if its 16 sqaures in one single bar you can fit in 2 notes covering 8 sqaures each. then again 8 sqaures long each on the 2nd bar. idk if it make sense but just try and look at the sqaures, thats the whle point why they are there.

It’s more he needs to learn music theory. He can’t make a basic melody or bassline that sounds good, so he changes the sound instead, which solves nothing.

He should buy serum or sylenth or nexus instead of solely relying on flex. Sure it can sound great but the sounds you can make with the other plugins are much more customizable and varied. Idk if he cares to learn that stuff tho

@TerraXXL yea obviously it would require an immense amount of learning for him to know how it works. It took me personally about a year to really know what all its features do. Flex is more tweaking presets and samples while serum is more creating your own sound from scratch. He has literally barely been producing for a few days tho so it won’t happen anytime soon

@@comfytoby Yes there is 💀 if you sing a song in the wrong key you're doing it wrong. There's a limit to how much experimentation you can do because there are still rules. When people talk about there being no rules to making music this isn't what they mean key and tempo are the bare minimum and if those are off in the song it's gonna sound bad

Somebody needs to teach this man chords, and scales, to have a general understanding of what might sound good. I think it would help alot, and it doesn't take to long to learn. Edit: I love that X is actually trying to figure FL out, as a prod myself i recognize alot of the struggles and he's really coming along nice :)
