Timing is on point - a worthy winner and a nice little nod to Kentaro's 2001 & 2002 sets. Nice to hear different music and even though I'm an analogue man, the possibilities with this tech are endless

Everyone complaining about the music, go make your own DMC submission and beat him next year. This dude got tech as fuck and original so respect regardless of the music style. Going from 90bpm to 90bpm with hip hop is boring. This dude crushed a bunch of bpms and time signatures so mad respect.

BACNandEGGS man, the haters are comparing these DJ's the the ones we had before DVS and sampling came into play - i agree with alot of the haters. The actual skill of thr djs back then arw superior to what we got now. These boys are button bashers and habe forgotten the true skills of scratching and beat juggling,oh and making the music 'musical'. I blame DMC,they allow this shit to happen

from 3:30 on has a strong influence by the "Peace" routine by Kentaro :D I dunno if he is his idol or teacher or what, but that is almost a slightly detuned copy of Kentaro's "Peace", he uses even the needle change technique...

People are not happy unless your doing recycled rounties of 90s hip hop yet don't realise this shit is all about being original and different, this is why so many dudes all sound like one DJ they watch then they copy and thinks that what they need to do.

Holy shit that was a lot of prep work. Can't take anything away from him as that was perfectly executed and crafted, but it's easy for people to be misled by what they see, taking away from the skills he exhibits. Personally, the olden day sets do it for me more than the last 6 years or so worth, but this is still a bomb set.

Do I have to buy an NI mixer now to include button pushing in my routine? This competition was about "Turntablism" ie: the art of what you could do without "sample pads" and "effects". Even the DMC people lost their minds and forgot what this competition is about.
