He’s not so much ‘putting on’ a country twang as he he just letting it out. Most singers (unless they want to be a country singer) will work to lose that twang. But Geoff was raised in Virginia and then Florida, and sometimes it comes out in his speaking voice too. Next time you want to have a fun Geoff solo video, try Way Down. Shenandoah, take me home country roads, blackbird, and monster mash are my favourite of Geoff's solo works. If you enjoy disney I really recommend voiceplay songs - friends on the other side, go the distance, little mermaid medley. My mother told me and hoist the colours are wonderful. There's so many fantastic options and I've loved seeing you discover voiceplay, geoff, Tim and Home free. I enjoy voiceplay a little more but love the way the fans from all the acapella groups support good music. Once you get more familiar with home free and their style, I'd recommend their cover of end of the road, and then rob and Austin doing opera. So much good stuff to hear

Geoff has done audio book work as well. He has done The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe as an audio book.

This, and Saddle Up, were some of his earlier videos and very simple, but his talent still shows through. It’s pretty phenomenal when you look at his more recent works to just see how much he has progressed as far as artistic expression in the last few years. I still love these early ones, but then I look at what he’s been doing recently and it just blows me away. Saddle Up was on an OLD Disney “This was the West” and was sung by Thurl Ravenscroft who is someone Geoff really admires. (he was the person who sang the grinch song in the cartoon and was also the voice of Tony the Tiger on the old Frosted Flakes commercials: “They’re GREAT”. It’s another really fun one with Layne generally being irritated😂 You might want to go out and look for a few of the minis that are Disney inspired. VoicePlay did That’s What Friends are For (the vulture’s song from The Jungle Book), the song from the Tiki Room (Cesar is adorable), YoHo song from The Pirates of the Caribbean ride (Layne is insane), Surface Pressure from Encanto. I think that’s all the Disney ones. His twang is sort of natural as he was born in Virginia. In a lot of his videos he’ll either say “come on”or “yeah” in that real deep voice. You might really enjoy VP’s Daddy Sang Bass - it’s very country fried! I’ve tried listening to ASMR to see if I could relax and it usually just annoys me. But Geoff’s voice is so smooth that I have four or five of his slower songs on a repeating loop in a playlist that I use at bedtime sometimes. It just takes away all my stress. Maybe his vocal range is your ASMR trigger!

This Geoff cover holds a special place in my heart, too. The Jungle Book the first Disney movie that I clearly remember seeing in the theater at age six (waaaaaaay back in 1978 on the first re-release), though I know I saw a couple of others before it. Baloo was the first animated character that I just desperately wished was real so I could hang out with him.

Great reaction.... this was, i believe, his forst solo song and i totally love it, it has such a fun vibe from him! I agree, everyone in VoicePlay is amazing and I always find something new to appreciate about each member every time I go through a video, but there's always something about Geoff's voice that draws me in first. For another video that really showcases Geoff's range and VoicePlay's humor in general, you should check out one of the recordings of them doing "Elvira" live! It's another Geoff arrangement and it shows off a bit of how Geoff enjoyed playing with audiences' expectations and interactions! Yeah, Geoff sometimes has a bit of a southern accent, I find it incredibly charming! If you want some more "country boy vibe" from Geoff, check out "Ghost Riders in the Sky", "Take me home, country roads" or "Saddle up"! Saddle up is more on the fun side while "Ghost Riders" is all-out epic with amazing costumes and western vibes! I also want to throw out there for your (surely very long) reactions list - The collaborations VoicePlay did with Kurt Hugo Schneider, "Wavin' Through a Window" (Eli really gets to shine in this one!) and "Twenty One Pilots mashup" (Geoff and Eli take on the "Stressed Out" rap!) Geoff wrote the music & lyrics to this & it is absolutely hilarious. Also Voice Play / one minute musical: Light Bulb. The music & lyrics are by Eli from Voice Play. Because they are short videos you could do them both at the same sitting. I have been begging everyone to do a reaction to these for the past two months & nobody has. I guarantee you will love them. I'd recommend Ain’t No Sunshine. or Ghost Riders in the Sky... House of the Rising Sun is also great. IMO these three top his solo work beyond what you've already seen. Granted I can't think of a bad Geoff song... but those three stand out to me due to their completeness and transformation of the original works, where they feel like they could almost be their own song. Granted Black Bird might have you on the floor twitching. Just sayin'.
