The Air 2 S does everything I need, exceptionally well. I like the 5.4 K video because when I crop in, it has no loss in resolution for 4 K videos. That's actually kind of like having a tele lens. It seems like 2 cameras are a lot of stuff to hang of this little gimbal, but it seems to work. I'll upgrade when my drone is completely outdated, which won't be a while for the Air 2 S.

Ive had the air2s for about a year, even with current warranty and extended protection, i can barely get half what i paid for it, and for an actual trade in i would get a quarter, the depreciation is insane. If i could get 3/4 i would consider it but to spend over $1000(aud) to "upgrade" from a drone that was the same price one year ago, come on....

@@Matanumi Well yeah, there is always a new drone coming out and resale value doesn't hold up once it does. Meanwhile guys with their Mavic 2 pro are still making money with their outdated drone and no one can tell! Learn how to make good photos and videos and how to edit them to get the most out of everything you record. Forget about the newest drone until you REALLY need one!

If I can get the Air 3 for free (like so many other KZfaq content creators), I will gladly accept and use it. But since I have to buy my own gear, I am more than happy to stick with my trustworthy and frankly brilliant Air 2S. I really do not need anything more, and the Air 3 will not magically turn me into a better content creator overnight...

Well I definitely would buy the DJI Air 3 for sure if I could ever afford it lol. The impressive features and new remote control plus extra cameras on it.💯👍. It has complete obstacle avoidance all around it for added safety. DJI is the best drone I have ever had. And i have had 4 so far in all. I have phantom mavic pro mavic pro 2 and mini pro. They all will do active track in any radius if you set it at the start. My favourite for mountain Biking is at 45 deg. Try it!

Been loving my Air 3 over the last week! My first drone I will be using professionally so it was a no brainer. I can definitely tell a pretty large difference in the video quality, I'm surprised you can't really. Blind side by side comparisons are obvious to me and Air 3 has a big advantage. Much better color and more detail. Not to mention the 70mm is a game changer. Few more reasons to upgrade should be much improved battery life, awesome new charging system, and the drone is SIGNIFICANTLY faster in all directions. Mine was able to hit 48mph today. It's faster than the Mavic 3 Pro as well.

Exactly, video on Air 2S is little bit mushy, Air 3 is on Air 3 lot sharper but not more detailed i would say. So the quite a bit of software processing going on on Air 3. But i personaly like the video quality more on Air 3.

The mini 4 pro has leaked to have Omni obstacle avoidance and an up graded stacked sensor. That’s why the Air has 2 cameras to really separate its self from the new mini. The Maverick series is going to get the same love of upgraded stacked sensors too and the OS 4

I picked out what I thought were the best and they turned out to be the Air 3. For a number of weeks I'd been pondering getting a Mavic 3 Pro to supplement my Mini 3 Pro, and had been actively searching for a good deal and coming to terms with the outlay. Then the Air 3 came out and I stalled. I watched a few videos, weighed up the pros and cons. Struggled with the RC 2 controller and OcuSync 4. Then I found a used but never flown Mavic 3 Pro with RC Pro, £600 below the new price, but also with a huge amount of extras that added up to £1200. So I went for it. No regrets. I've tried to find an error in my judgment but so far have failed.

Just out of interest, if you have an old drone and have used Litchi to create a waypoint mission is there any way at all of importing that mission into the waypoint system on either the Mavic 3 or the Air 3

I must have gotten a bad unit. 4 times the RC2 disconnected from the drone even when it was 80ft above me. Glad the RTH worked though. Just returned the drone.

Hello buddy. In this video your showing comparision footage. The air 3 footage (lower portion of the video) is the clear winner. Much more detailed. Seems at least twice as detailed and sharp.

Now I really enjoyed the way you teach or inform. You keep my interest with your enthusiasm and knowledge. Personally I own the DJI AID 2S and will keep it mostly because it works well with 3rd party software. That’s huge for me. For example it works with LITCHI and MAP PILOT PRO. Yes the AIR 3 has waypoints built in but not nearly the options one gets from the apps I mentioned. I hope the new DJI drones will all eventually be compatible with these applications. What do you think?

Could you make video , please, that explains how to Nd filters works with drones which has different cameras with different aperture. I see no any brand of nd filters doesn't mentioned that the filters for Dji air 2 , for example, has different brightness. Technecaly the glass for tle camera with f2.8 should be brighter tnen nd glass for f1.7 camera. it should be optimized somehow to match ND16 for examle to both cameras.

Thanks for this comparison. Always a fan of your content. Can you please do one on Air 3 vs Mavic 3 Pro or OG Mavic 3? To see the difference between signal, features and even performance. As of now, the Air 3 seems to be kind of better with more features with the medium tele lens. Is it better than the Mavic 3 Pro? Do to better signal, better obstacle avoidance, better/newer software and even more flight time? Minus the hasselblad of course. Just very curious of how they compare.

I have the Pro and grabbed the somewhat redundant Air 3. It's not "better" in any true sense than the big daddy, but better is relative to what your doing. Let's just say it provides 90% of Mavic 3 Pro for 50% of the cost. It has maybe 25% more range, almost same top speed and roughly the same flight times (within 2 minutes) also accessories are less. Wide angle lens was $179 for the Mavic 3 Pro. It's $59 for Air 3. DJI ND fIlters? $100 VS over 200. If your product is Social Media and KZfaq? Air 3 is the drone. Even some Pro work as long as your not tasked with specifics such as Pro Res - but that requires the Cine version of Mavic 3 Pro. It doesn't beat the Flagship spec for spec, but it's a better fit for most pilots. 😉

@@BlairAirI agree I think you're completely right. If it wasn't for the hassleblad and I think that's what you're paying for other than the program is if you buy the Cine like I had. But then regular Mavic 3 becomes a delete in history so I got the Mavic 3 Pro and it end up selling my Cine for a good price. I just wanted to confirm that it's basically just the hassleblad in a couple other things that you're paying for for the Mavic 3 Pro. It seems like the Air 3 is technically better maybe not better camera quality in some ways but that new stacked sensor technology is pretty amazing. Thank you for the reply. I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed.

@michaelkosinski5671 great minds think alike lol 🤔 - I just can't sell the Mavic 3 Pro -not yet. I get 70% back on resale so around 2400 for the Fly More/RM330 Combo. Now I have to wonder when a RC Pro 2 will appear. O3+ is sufficient for the present. Here's a thought: on Air 3 there's no upward firing OA sensors like Mavic 3 series. Turns out if they point the fisheye ones upward a bit, the overlap and upward all work! Lessons in efficiency. And cost. Take care!

@@BlairAir I was wondering about the RC Pro 2 as well That's another reason I don't know if I should hold off that rumor of Air 3S or mini 4 Pro you know and the way they've been tossing these drones out. What if they're using like that same sensor in the Mini 3 Pro the Mavic 3 medium tele lens and the Air 3. But why aren't the features all there. Currently doing the same as you were thinking only with my Mavic 3 OG Cine. At what time my prize possession now I'm getting it appraised because DJ I completely like replaced it. As for the Mavic 3 Pro yeah I want to hold on to that one as long as possible too. I could use that 04 transmission system though I don't plan on going no 20 km or whatever but if it has that extra 5.1 band like that's perfect for well anyway that flies a drone knows that you start to lose signal most times well before you lose VLOS. So they should have actually advertised a stronger signal not a longer signal. But when I contacted DJI about the different features Even little things like being able to use the quick shots or Master shots on that medium lens. I hear the post process as much easier. Honestly with the Mavic 3 Pro I think you're paying mostly for the hassleblad and I think I could sacrifice that I'm not a professional filmmaker there's the hassleblad and then there's the ProRes two different options for quite some extra cash for most very unnecessary options. Just want to drone with awesome flight time a decent camera doesn't have to be a $16,000 inspire Good wind resistance and a strong signal. One major difference IMO is color... I've had the Air 2s for a couple of years and I've always been bothered by the green tint... I ordered the Air 3 and am looking forward to it

@DM Productions. Just some feedback on your audio. I've watched several of your videos now, and each time I open one I notice your volume is quite a lot lower than 99% of the other content I consume. Just an FYI, could you edit your audio a few db higher while you're talking? Sometimes your music is really loud compared to your dialogue. Cheers.

Who's getting the Air 3 Wide Angle lens? I always buy that thing. For Mini 3 Pro, Mavic 3, Mavic 3 Pro now Air 3. (Not shipping for a few weeks still.) Gives us a 14mm equivalent. Just one more focal length to play with. No Panoramas though.

I am going to keep my Air2s, because I specialize in aerial 360 panoramas. And for this task I choose the Air2s over even my Mavic 3 Classic.

I think Air3 shoots upwards more and shoots higher res panoramics....I haven't checked first-hand though.and am probably thinking of the mavic 3 pro in comparison to air 3. My Air2 doesn't shoot very far upwards, I surmise 2a is same or worse.

No they can’t lol at least that’s what it seems like bc NONE of these KZfaqrs who got it for free did in depth photo comparisons. I’m almost positive the air 2s will look a bit better in good lightning and the air3 prob does better in low light. I really love my 2s photo capabilities but that’s all I think it has on the air 3 lol I’ll wait for a nice deal on the air 3 and try to grab it when the fly more drops to 13-1400. Maybe black Friday

Hardware 20mp air2s vs software 48mp air3 is the same than optical stabilization gimbal vs software stabilization gopro and big reason is air2s is much better quality build body. For me camera air2s is very good, I love my mini3pro and air2s

The irony is that signal wise, FCC output is really all you need. My FPV dji has the FCC hack, and it blows my Mavics out of the water in the same area, because they are in CE. That's how night and day it is. It's like having Wifi vs OcuSync.

Edit It know longer shows you the option for the refresh warranty at the shop page you have to click buy now and you then get the option, They changed how the web site works.

Man really gotta just flip a coin if you can’t decide, I’d say if you are coming from the air 2 get the air 3. If you have any mini series and want to look “professional” get the air 3 tho I’d argue the mini 3 pro especially can hold its weight for most activities. I’m enjoying your videos brother thank you for staying consistent with quality and distribution! 🎉 🦅

When I bought my Mavic 3 I sold my Air2S and I regretted it a lot. I have now sold the Mavic 3 and an Air 3 in its place, I am flying back with much more pleasure. On the other hand, I live in Belgium Europe from next year the Air2S falls into the A3 category and in theory it is worth nothing anymore, the Air 3 has its C1 label and I can now safely fly in the A1 category like with my Mini 3 Pro.

We use the Air 2s and we'd never have the need for 100fps, longer flight time, low light flights or a 70mm increase of range especially when we can film in the 5.4k and punch in to 4k getting the same outcome without losing quality.

There are so many improvements, been experimenting with my air 3 for a week or so, I just wish the photo quality was on par with the air 2s. It’s not even close

@@ChuckD05 yes, it creates strange artifacts as it’s approximating or interpolating data, not a true 48mp sensor

It's a 48mp sensor with 12mp color filter for good reason. It's a 12mp HDR (in each frame, not multiple frames added together) sensor. It is not meant to be used as a 48 mp sensor... It has a 12mp color sensor with 48m pixels, or think of them as 4 sub-pixels under each color pixel per HDR output pixel. The sub-pixels are tiny, of course they will be noisier than pixels that are 4+ times larger.

I have the Air 2S and the Mavic 3 Classic. OH and the Mini 3. I fight with myself every day about getting the Air 3. Not from the point of is it better or will I use it more than the others. I want to see what is next! As we can see from the history of DJI there is always something better just around the bend. 😂🤯😂

Well yeah... thats kind of what they do. I laugh at the "don't buy it, something better is coming!" Comments. That's been the case since about the year 0. I wouldn't REPLACE a drone with every release... but adding? What's ONE. MORE. DRONE. in the grand scheme of things? I actually set a 3 simultaneous drone limit. Then immediately broke it. My problem isn't too many drones. It's setting limits that are too low. Just sold Mavic 3 and Autel Evo Lite+ Kept Mini 3 Pro, Air 2S, Air 3 and Mavic 3 Pro. Im a DJI shop all of a sudden. Its not the drones. It's the Accessories! 😂

Wouldn’t a dji air 3s be a mavic 3 because not only the price bump to the point where you could get the mavic 3 classic or mavic 3 pro because yes I agree dji took the aircraft frame and battery life and Omni directional obstacle avoidance from the mavic series but not the camera quality and I know eventually maybe their will be a mavic 4 and then they can jump over the mavic 3 classic with the air 3s like close the gap in between them but for know I think that with the air 3 they couldn’t release a air 3s because that would kill the mavic 3 series in my opinion

DJI is known to over-sharpen their images and the Air3 looks like it has more sharpening to me, I actually prefer the image out of the Air2s.

Personally not worth the upgrade - I love all the features and gimmicks. But never use them. I prefer manual flights with maybe the occasional helix. Out of 47 mins flight time how much footage would you actually use? Less than a minute?

I knew the bottom was Air 3. Not by resolution but color. A bit more vivid

I have the Air, Air 2 and Air 2S and I think the Air 3 is incredible for the 5 reasons you say. I cant bring myself to buy the Air 3 However cos my cupboard is just so full of excellent DJI drones. I am going to wait for the Mini 4 Pro or see what comes out near to Christmas. We all know that if you buy now DJI will leg you over in about 6 months....... They just did 20 % off the Air 2S by the way. Love the Baller 2 controller though....... I hope that will be the one that gets put in with the mini 4 pro

I’ve just sold my Air 2s to purchase an Air 3. I film weddings and do a lot with couples so for me the 70mm lens really is a massive upgrade. The other aspect which is very important to me is the ability to set speeds for each mode. DJI added this to the Mavic 3 and mini 3 last year via firmware but not to the Air 2s which was a huge disappointment. For much of my filming I want slow speeds that I control, I want the parallax as an option from a longer focal length and with my flying the omni sensors. I see a lot of people online concentrating on specs rather than their own needs. For me this drone gives me everything I’m missing from the 2s for how I want to shoot.

Tell a difference? There is a huge difference. Air 3 has WAAYY more dynamic range and is 10 times better in low light. I hated my Air 2s because you couldn't trust the battery life. Love my Air 3!

I like your videos. You have made a mistake though, the sensor on the Air 3 is 48mp, not 12mp. A common misconception with Quad Bayer from non camera channels is resolution. The Air 2s is 20mp, the Air 3 is 48mp. In ‘12mp’ mode, it has a conventional Bayer colour array over the sensor, making the video output solid in low light, as well and photos for the masses... In the native 48mp mode, it has a the same RGB array but in blocks of 4 pixels. There’s just slightly more interpolation needed with the Quad Bayer, but this only impacts artifices and colour, not resolution.

Camera hardware on Air 2S is NOT BETTER. it's a front illuminated single layer single native ISO incapable of mega high ISO captures. The Air 3 is a backlit Stacked Dual Native ISO beast that can take 12800 ISO NIGHT IMAGES that make AIR 2S hang its gimbal in shame. That gimbal can't look up 60° anyway. 😂😮😅 Air 2S does take killer photos though!

I would have upgraded if the Air 3was compatible with the RC Pro controller. Want the 70mm lens, like the waypoints, omni sensors a big plus and ocusync 4 looks superb ....... but having spent eight hundred quid plus on the RC Pro to pair wth the Air 2S its a no go for me🤷🥸 Great review as always though 👌
