NOTE, you might notice some scenes are repeated but actually they are different as I was trying different techniques using the motion controller to achieve the desired shots 👌 (I'm still exploring the Motion Controller)

As a fashion and bridal content creator, I like having drones to capture stunning footage with models. I've been using drones like the Air2S and Air3 with propeller guards to get closer shots to my subjects, but it's always been risky and challenging. However, with the new DJI AVATA 2, everything has changed.
This drone is light, small, and equipped with excellent protective guards. What's more, the FPV (First Person View) feature is a game-changer for me. It allows me to capture unique, stunning footage that I couldn't achieve before with normal drones. I'm exploring FPV in a slightly different way than others, and despite being relatively new to FPV drones, I'm confident I can get the shots I need.
I'm still using the Motion Controller, which presents its own challenges, but I've ordered an FPV controller to improve my practice. If you're interested in what I'm experimenting here, let's stay connected! Subscribe, leave a comment, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

I enjoyed the directional blur effect, I’ll need to try something similar in Resolve. Normal, wide or ultra-wide on the camera settings?; horizon looks nice and flat. Rocksteady or GyroFlow post processing? I do enjoy flying mine in manual; I recommend a little sim time and then try it over a nice field just like that. The A2 is pretty durable and I don’t think it would be damaged crashing at that location. Just have to use the ESC beeps to find it.

Hey thank you 🙌 I finally received the remote controller today and I'm ready to try the manual mode so excited and I hope not to crash it quickly! To answer your questions, I fly in wide with rocksteady and in Dlog (color grading in post).

If we did that here in England, the young lady would need to be wearing Wellington boots. I recently made a film myself of the yellow Fields and you could see the water in the tractor tracks 😂

GREAT VIDEO. JUST PICKED UP THE AVATA 2. ONE OF DJI BEST DRONES. I want to try it in manual mode tho!, if you don't mind me asking how did you pull off the slow mo shutter effect??

I completely agree the Avata 2 is a whole different story. I'll be flying in manual mode soon so let's keep connected and share experiences 👌 regarding the slow mo first I shot it 60fps and slow it down to 30fps and that's almost 90% of the video. But in one or 2 scenes I slow it even more and I added more directional blur effect in adobe after effect but you can do it in any other video software.

curious how you achieve the shots where the drone continue to fly froward but the drone turn to face the subject with the motion controller?

It is the Easy ACRO. One of the options I love. Toggle the 5D button down to open the quick settings panel and select Easy ACRO. Then, the drone enters the Easy ACRO mode. Easy ACRO actions include Roll, 180° Drift, and Flip. Then select 180 drift and then while you are going forward push the joystick left or right and the magic will happen 😊

@NicolasVoisinFilm That's strange! for me, it was straightforward. Maybe try to start recording first before you get into acro or try the opposite way! But it should work fine! Try and let me know what you got

i have to buy one before our racist president "angry" joe biden ban chinese products from entering my country. And I might as well buy extra battery packs ! What's the flight time per charge ?

Yeh I'd say get one if you can! I make around 18min flight time on one battery And it takes me around 35min to charge a single battery. The charging hub is so clever too so let's say you have 2 batteries and both are 50% then you can just long press on the charger hub button and it will take the 50% charge from one battery to charge the 2nd one to 100% .. I really love this bec it helped me a lot ☺️
