@DJI FPV CLIPS won't fly more than 100 metres from me. Keeps drifting when it's supposed to stay still, extremely hard to control. So many restrictions.

where I live you have to bring another person along to watch your drone if you want to use those things. it's illegal to fly a drone if it's not in clear line of sight. and, of course, having your face fully covered by something like that would make you unable to see your drone.

CriticalAngle I think it's a bit overpriced for the market it's trying to enter. It's basically a toy for the masses. Should be closer to $300-$400 tops.

Like other DJI drone, the stated 16 min flight time is under controlled speed and windless condition. real-life expect 12 mins. :/ better wait for the reviews

Lets not forget the weather conditions will greatly effect it, just strong winds will require the motors to run harder because of how smaller it is.

@@igordugonjic I crashed my mavic... and now the gimbal is crooked.. please be careful. It's very fine technology, but since it has to go up in the air.. it isnt unbreakable. My own fault tho. Stupid me. It'll cost me 300 bucks to repair the damn thing.

exactly, i like the gimbal design for sparks rather than Mavic. looks more rigid and firm. mavic gimbal looks soo fragile

XewDude lol what its clearly for market differentiating, the Sensor ( 1/2.3 ) and computing core clearly able to record 4k and Nope, LENS have nothing to do with 4K capability.

The sensor does though. The size of the sensor doesn't matter, the more photoreceptors on a sensor, being used for video the more expensive and also the more heat generated. It's incredibly hard to get 4K at any decent bitrate in a small form factor, as heating becomes a serious issue. Also have to have a faster storage bus, more memory and a faster processor to encode the footage and offload it to a memory card. Even on the Mavic, the 4K footage is not that great at the bitrate it is, so lowering the bitrate for the sake of marketing it as 4K would leave you with footage that's unworkable in post production.

Lol this comment was more meant as a joke. While I still use my Phantom 1 a lot, I thankfully did upgrade after using my P1 for 2 years back in November. My main aerial camera is currently a DJI Phantom 3 4K, with my modified Phantom 1 FC40 as my secondary drone. Though my Phantom FC40 was my main drone even for some time after the Mavic Pro was released, and the Inspire 2 was days away from announcement.
