I downloaded the wrong app by accident and wasted my time searching for my mavic 3 drone for about an hour before realizing I had the wrong app until I watched this video. Very informative and to the point great video overall. 🤙🤙🤙

Great information perfectly produced... do you have anything on the autopilot features, seems my mavic 2 pro was a bit easier to locate and operate the auto pilot circle object, waypoint, etc. autopilot features...

Great video, well spoken, you do a great job explaining. Just got a mavic 3 today, the first drone I had was $279.00, which I used to learn how to fly, I wrecked that one a couple times before I got the hang off it!

Great tutorial, when explaining the part of stopping propellers and Emergency Use Only. What does that mean? Does the aricraft automatically sets to emergency use? do you get a prompt first time you perform that stick combination? Thanks!

Basically if the aircraft is falling or upside down, then it's sensing an emergency and that option will be active. Any other time the drone is acting normally, that stick movement configuration will not cause the drone to fall out of the sky.

Appreciate your tutorial is clear and precise and easy to follow. I'm purchasing a M3 when i D1 store has it available, it's on backorder here. One question, can i use an android mobile phone thats NOT on internet ? My last phone has a larger screen and is a spare now. It would be great if i could use that one.

Yes you can use one without any data plan or internet. You'll need WiFi or some sort of internet connection for the initial setup though, but not to fly.

I remember some of your first videos with the original Mavic Pro and the Phantom 4 Pro. Do you still fly them? I sold my Mavic Pro Platinum after I got the Mavic 2 Pro cause the Mavic Pro Platinum just wasn’t getting any use. Since the Mavic 3 can’t (yet) be used with apps like Drone Deploy and Pix4D I’m keeping the Mavic 2 Pro. Thanks for a very informative video!

Haha yes, but I may pull back a little on the weight. Trying to snowboard with Sean Ozz in Colorado at 13,000' was really difficult last February with the increased bodyweight. We're doing it again this February and I want to be in better overall shape.

@@EdRickerVlogs I have you to thank for learning how to use my drone. I bought the M2P in September 2018, and watched all of your tutorials! I also enjoyed your flying locations since I lived in Raleigh around 2000. I worked at Dorothea Dix Hospital and after it closed I worked for the NC Department of Health and Human Services. I worked then in the Medicaid building on campus. I retired from there in about 2015 and in 2016 I moved back to my hometown in upstate, NY. I sold the M2P (big mistake), bought the Air 2, then the Air 2S, and just a few days ago bought the Mavic 3 Classic. The Air 2 and Air2S never lived up to the quality of the M2P, I believe there is something related to Hasslblad that makes for such good quality photos and videos. Good Luck Ed!

Thanks! If you're just starting out, the DJI Mini 2 is an awesome drone and very affordable. The next step up would be a DJI Air 2S which might be a little higher price than you're looking for.

How fast does the high turn on when the drone is just sitting on the table, not in flight. My fan on my newly bought Mavic 3 Pro starts between 30sec-2min then the fan is on HIGH when it's just sitting on the floor in a temperature controlled room. Any thoughts? Is this defective and should I return the drone (for free) for a new one?

That sounds very normal. With no airflow the drone will need to stay cool with its own fan. Remember the propeller blades will naturally cool the drone in flight. It's not designed to stay powered on inside for too long, although the fan will keep it from overheating.

Yes there's a DJI Fly app update that now works with the Pixel 6 Pro. Try updating it.

Why did you took off the battery at 4:50 from the charger... i never do that i let them fully charge first before i take them off... like a cycle up down up down ...

I was demonstrating how the battery charging hub changes what battery it's charging based off the charge levels of each battery. Not a big deal to remove a charging battery.

I use a 256gb card, works great! Not sure the max size but 256 is hours worth of 4k footage.

If you have the rc controller and want to change it to RC-N1 don't forget to check for firmware updates on the controller first.....

Hi Lee, I enjoy the Mavic 3, but the controllability isn't as good as the Mavic 1 and Mavic 2 lines. I do wish it was a smoother flight experience with close proximity flight. However, I've not had GPS lock issues, and the cost is what it is. I do miss my Smart Controller. The V2 should controller shouldn't be so much more expensive considering it can only be used with the Mavic 3 right now (as far as I know). But the camera is amazing and I have no complaints there. I do bring an Autel EVO II Pro as a backup/2nd drone for most projects however.

I have just purchased a Mavic 3 (non Cine) from Amazon UK plus the RC Pro (crazy prices), and been doing a lot of digging before I eventually wrap that cellphone off. I want to be 100% sure I suppose, mainly because I already have the Mavic 2 Pro. Yeh I think the Camera, better transmission and lastly bigger battery is a big plus for me. The RC Pro can be used also with the Air 2S mate, but yeh it shouldn’t have cost so much due to the amount of money spent on the Drone, only to find it comes with the cheap plastic (without digital screen) controller, this is where the Mavic 2 Pro shined, that controller was way more informative! £3000+ ouch!
