DJI Mini 3 Pro Accessories | What You Need & DON'T NEED!

This is another upload of my previous video after the audio levels ended up being completely messed up?! Not sure how that happened, the rendered video was fine but after uploading the audio went completely out of whack! Anyway, that should be fixed now.
The DJI Mini 3 Pro comes out of the box with all the hardware you need to have a great flight, but wouldn't it be nice to enhance your experiences? A number of accessories are available from both DJI and third party manufacturers that aim to do just that!
The one accessory I didn't mention today but would have liked to is a sun shade for the RC controller. This thing is actually not that bright and anything to help with that would be ideal. However, right now I don't own a sun shade accessory so have not tested just how much they help.
Anyway, which accessories do you recommend (if any) for use with the DJI Mini 3 Pro?

I use these accessories that I would recommend to everyone: 1. Fly more kit. You need the two extra batteries, full stop. The provided charging block is very handy too. I also love the case and I have no doubt it will protect my drone in basically any situation I will find myself in. 2. ND filters 3. Propeller straps 4. Screen protector 5. Lanyard for the controller - I find it easier to have it hanging around my neck while I am unpacking or packing the drone. It is a two hands operation for me to unfold the drone so it is good to start the controller beforehand to get in the air just a slightly bit quicker. 6. Second pair of joysticks, although I keep mine screwed on all the time. 7. Fast charger - I currently use an iPhone/iPad charger which is 25W, I will update it to 35W soon. I don’t think you need a landing gear or a landing pad. Learn how to launch a land the drone from a hand, it is really easy. I don’t think I’ll ever see the need to put my drone in a more robust case either. Short of landing with my weight on top of it, I don’t see a situation where it wouldn’t provide enough protection.

I use the GardTok Mini 3 Pro Anti-Glare Screen Protector on my RC controller. On bright sunny days this helps cut down on the glare from the built in screen. A lot easier to use it in bright sunlight. The touch screen is the same sensitivity as it was without it.

An ND filter really doesn't help so much with reflections, for that you need a polarizing filter. So many ND filters include a polarizer, too. You want to make certain to find one that's described as a ND/PL or a ND/CPL. A CPL is a circular polarizer filter allows you to control the angle of reflection control.

I recommend a USB C Lapel mic. The latest firmware update for the controller enables you to record audio from the Host USB port (The one that is covered)!

Hi Simon, Thanks... very informative video again. I am sure all of us would be really interested in you doing some real world inner town/city shots where you could really demontrate the full features of the Mini 3 Pro such as hyperlapse, effects with filters and range in these areas and of course the capabilities of the Mini 3 Pro at points of interest such as statues, buildings etc?

Those skyreat propeller straps are way tok tight and bend the propellers.

Very informative video Simon - thank you. Are your Skyreat filters the plastic or metal framed ones? What is your opinion on the quality of the filters regarding any perceivable colour cast or loss of sharpness?

Really enjoy your work and have learned a lot. On the topic of the Smart Controller for the Mini 2: Comments are generally a year old and the DJI site now says that controller is not in production. Should I wait, or shop for a refurbished Smart Controller as an upgrade?

Definitly not the terrible bag that comes with the fly more kit, purchased the semi-hard case by Skyreat, much more sturdy and fit for purpose....Especially if travelling abroad, just got back from using it in Turkey and clambering around rocks and sea etc, definitely gave me more peace of mind compared to the DJI case. TIP, can see you have the same case, the drone itself is supposed to go upside down into the case as it makes it easier to get out using the pincer point edges each side.... Also found the case can be used as a great little take of point if you're forced to take off in tall grass or a stoney area....Found you need at least a 30W USB C charger (Think they are considered in the mobile phone world as superfast chargers) anything lower than this and you'll be there all day.

That case /bag is good. It's not bulletproof but it's nice and snug and feels good quality

Went out to fly this am took the Mini 3 and Air 2s over the Q.dam here in P.a. One thing I must share , for the past 3 weeks flying the Mini 3 I noticed small birds come out of the wood work more than usual,So this Morning when I took both birds up again the little birds really seem to be attracted to the Mini 3,NO attacks but flying around and around it .

The POLORIZERS are what take care of reflections on water...ND filters cut down light incoming overall

I found a piece of Velcro strip works best for the props. I have a powerful mini strobe I find useful to spot the drone at distances where it’s very small. No need for the flimsy clip on legs if you take off on flat ground (or hard case), and land on your hand, or even use a landing mat. Would be good if someone could design a hood guard that’s protects the gimbal , and blocks out the sun coming side on for the mini 3 gimbal, I had one for both my mini 2 and MPZ, never needed the annoying fiddly DJI gimbal covers wether flying or in their case.
