DJI Mini 4K A Beginner's Guide To Your First Flight

Ай бұрынBecause the DJI Mini 4K is often a first drone for many enthusiasts I thought a beginner's guide would be helpful to many. In this video I go over the drone and controller in detail as well as show how to set it up for flight. In the flight portion of the video, I go over basic control functions, takeoff, landing, flight controls etc. I also go over the app and go over the FPV (first person view) and basic telemetry. Hi Phil from UK I have always been told to switch on the controller first, because if the aircraft starts up and takes off you can gain control quickly. phil

Thank you so much for this tutorial , I was contemplating on either the Atom or this 4K and i think im going with the 4K , i noticed on your videos on the Atom you had to exchange it for a new one and it still give you a bit of trouble at times and I believe the 4K remote control is definitely a better controller than Atom controller, so this tutorial is extremely helpful thank you Marcus how much appreciation all the way from Monterey California area..

Great video Marcus. Nice to see one geared towards the novice flyers. I recently purchased DJI mini 4 Pro. I was wondering if you could do a video on transferring your video files from the memory card into a video editor. Is it normal to get several truncated files during one flight that need to be stitched together?

Yes, the Fat 32 file system creates those individual files. It's easy enough to merge them in a video editor.

Hey Marcus. I enjoy your videos and have learned a lot watching them. Question, to stay legal, how do you ignore the VLOS requirement while filming your videos? I've watched all of your MINI 4K videos and based on how far away you fly, you can not possibly be adhering to the required VLOS. Just curious as to how that works. TIA!

I love your channel, slight mistake at around 10.00 minutes, you said it's a Lithium Ion battery, Is it? My mini 2 is a Lithium Polymer. Sorry to be pedantic!

I went today and almost bought the Mini 4 Pro. They only had the $959 Kit not the Fly More Kit. I Would have had to order it and wait 5 days. I almost bought it with an extra battery but I still keep coming back to this video. I had a Mini 2 and really enjoyed it. Dumb me sold it since I only used it once in a while near me in Chicago mostly around Lake Michigan Shoreline and above all the power wires around my house. The Pro 4 is great with Waypoints and "Follow Me" but I don't think it would be something I would use often. Obstacle Avoidance is great but my problem in the city is Power Wires. That I know it won't work all the time with. I would feel better just flying above all the wires like I did with my Mini 2 instead of trying to fly near a street around them. Never worried about them with my Mini 2 since I stayed above all of them. $450 for this Mini 4k with the kit for $449 might be the best for me. For what I do and the amount of time I use a drone, $1200 for the 4 Pro would be way "Overkill". You have all the best videos on drones....
