I think if DJI made a set of goggles that had the same technology as Apple Vision Pro, it would be the best way to fly a drone.

I would bet you wouldn’t have much of a problem getting a waiver around the line of sight rule utilizing the Apple goggles. Besides the 5 step process of connecting the goggles to work with flying the drone, that is just amazing.

DJI, Apple, I hope is paying you handsomely because the amount of information, honest critique, sound recommendations and feedback you provide in such a short time frame is mind boggling. The Apples goggles are way to expensive for most people to use for drones. Hopefully DJI has already figured out some new stuff with the goggles 3 and what looks to be forward looking cameras

When the eclipse happens here in Houston we will be 90% effected. I thought I would take my DJI Mavic 2 Zoom and go up about 250-300' and park it there videoing the skyline of downtown Houston. Other people may have ideas on doing something like this.

WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND is why the DJI Intehgras DON'T work like the original white bricks where I COULD put the goggles on a friend BUT STILL SEE on the remote screen to ACUALLY SEE where the hell to fly! WTF? WHY were they able to do it with the bricks but NOT on the 5 year new tech?

I plug my integra goggles iton my phone and use a moviemask for my friends...works great

I plug my phone into the integra goggles and open the fly app, so i can see what the goggles see then put the phone in the drone mask and take people for a ride

Maybe the DJI Goggles 3 will bring some of this technology to the table. Or, as you suggest, DJI could concentrate more on developing their software for existing VR headsets. Great video, thanks for sharing.

I think that is exactly what DJI intents to develop after the release of the Goggles 3 on April 11th which is supposed to have far less capabilities than vision Pro. But if DJI refuses to develop a low latency app/ Dongle for Apple Vision Pro/ Android VR Goggles than there might be a opportunity for other Drone companies maybe Walksnail/ Caddx/ Hubsan or Fimi? Hopefully we will get finally more competition in the Drone Market which has been dominated by DJI for a decade now. Or DJI develops their own Android VR Googles, but the competition by Meta/ Samsung will be fierce and nothing like the Drone Market.

AirHUD on AVP would be a nice addition- if the USB port on the battery was somehow capable of data pass thru with the remote.

@@LaszloBagi But it sems like the Googles 3 will be a real letdown by dji compared to Vision Pro/ Meta Quest 3, Not enough compute Power for serious VR Capabilities. Also very Bad Lenses for seroius passthrough. We may have to wait for Googles 4 for a serous Application of VR Passthrough.

In the meantime, if you could refrain from trying to ban us for selling product in your country and ban our drones from your airspace, would be much appreciated! 😉

Apple pricing is worse. The Vision Pro is no doubt the best AR glass on the market so far from the high resolution perspective n some features it comes with (frankly, I would not prefer to use it for gaming) BUT if DJI had the same tech on goggles only a handful of people would be able to purchase these drones anymore. Guess it ain't a good step forward economically. I've yet not had a chance to try it out with Meta Quest 3 cuz I need to find a workaround (SideQuest) first to get Play Store with all the common apps to run. Just been starting on that.
