Over the past few video releases, we kept focusing on our frustrations and how bad DJI service is when we discovered dead or hot pixels in our brand new, days-old, DJI Action 4 camera. The hot or dead pixels also happened on a subsequently a loan unit from service center, and another brand new DJI Action 4 camera that we bought again just to prove its not a dud unit that we've gotten. It does seem like it is a product-wide flaw as more and more people stepped up to verify this problem. We can only wait for a firmware fix, but at this point in time, it seems like DJI doesn't want to acknowledge and address this issue. No point in trying to make a fuss and be irritated with a flawed camera, we learn to workaround its limitations. One lesson we learnt from this bad experience is never to buy another DJI product again unless we really need a certain feature to the point that we are willing to forgo any possible warranty services. Caveat Emptor is the only advise we can give for those wanting to get a DJI Action camera. They are good for what they do, at a recreational or for-fun basis
Lamenting aside, the gist of this whole test and review is to stay below 8 seconds exposure timing, or even better, stay around 5 seconds is safe. Let us know what you think, and if you unit have hot pixels too.
