Were you in normal color mode in your pocket 3 footage or was it graded D-LogM?

Normal all the way! No colour adjustments done. Its good enough for normal usage :)

Normal colour mode is as well in 10-bit if you choose the HVEC-codec (8-bit with H264)

About the mirror image thing, you have a setting to change it so it flip the other way.

USB C port only. Yes you can achieve Bokeh with this.

i bought the pocket 1 and a bunch of accessories and almost never used it because my eyes arent good enough to see the screen even with glasses. Hopefully the larger screen will make it more useful. Skipped the 2...... the 1 is definitely smaller

When you record using the clip on mic does the audio record onto the pocket 3 or is it a separate file?

By default to the pocket 3 (baked into the video) but you can also locally record to the mic transmitter.

Great review. I'm curious why resetting the Gimal could damage the camera? Also, it would be good if it could save your settings in your DJI account so you could always import them if you have to reset or buy another.

Thanks for dropping by! Are you referring to the gimbal error? I think you misunderstood me. I meant that I had to reset it if not the gimbal could potentially be damaged because it was moving uncontrollably. That is a brilliant suggestion! I do that for my professionals cameras but never thought why these smaller cameras can’t do so. Hmm

Thanks for watching! As far I know, it can’t. And the mic 2 can’t be connected to the mic 1 receiver either.

If the original wireless mics you have to plug the receiver into the camera and then they work fine. Just asked DJI support that question this morning. With the OP3 it has the receiver for the wireless mic that comes with it built right in, so one less step if you prefer the mic2

also one of the differences with the V1 and V2 is the physical connector to your phone... Owning a v2 of this, I find it unnecessary to do that. So I think good move to remove that( plus its easy to misplace those small parts) hahaha. Nice review ariff! NOW who wants to buy a V2? anyone? hHAAHAHAH

I am a very new user using DJI and was wondering why you are recording in 25fps instead of 30fps, could you guide me?

It’s just preference. Some people do 24, some do 30. I prefer 25 because my editing timeline is 25fps. When I record slow motion content at 50fps or 100fps, it’s also easier to bring into my editor since they can easily match the 25fps project timeline.

They’re for different use cases. If pure pot simplicity, DJI. If there’s a chance you ever wanted to do more cinematic or professional work, ZV-E10. I have both haha.

Go for the DJI for a more simple setup. Just make use you understand the basics of videography to get the best image out of the camera. Most importantly frame rate, shutter speed, iso and lighting!

That’s a solid cam! I’m using it too for travel. The footage will be slightly different, favouring the full frame E1. But if you just use the Pocket 3 for wide shots (everything in focus), it should be able to match closely. Maybe wide shot can be pocket 3 and tighter shots can be the E1.

Thanks for dropping by! Yes a bit here and there, it’s fine. Gets hot (at the DJI logo) but never overheat (yet haha). I don’t record long videos, just short bursts.

Buyer regret will always happen. I used to have the ZV-E10, then I swapped to ZV-E1. It’s still my main travel camera because it’s versatile and can swap lenses! This Pocket 3 is more for casual shooting. It just depends on what you want to achieve!
