You can reframe with active track, simply by using the joystick to move your subject in the frame

I tried the Pocket 3 a few months back. I liked how compact it was and very inconspicuous. Doesn’t really attract much attention. Image quality was great for what it is, but I guess partial to full frame. The drawbacks for me were the on board mics. Very susceptible to wind noise. I’m not so much a vlogger. I’m more about filming my family, so wearing a wireless mic doesn’t work for me. Having a fixed focal length was a drawback. I like having a couple of lenses on me when I travel depending on what I’m shooting. I still think it’s a great little camera and in certain situations I wish I still had it, but I decided for my situation my mirrorless camera is a better option. Maybe one day I’ll add the pocket 3 to my collection.

I wouldn’t recommend it as the main camera. So having an actual camera would solve those drawbacks. It’s like the Fuji X100VO, it’s mainly a complement to your other cameras

The dynamic track feature is a game changer ... I love walking around with it and not looking at the camera to see whether I am in frame.

This is the first video that really sold me on this camera. In the right settings it can be a solid C-cam or perfect for BTS! It ain't no A7siii killer, but it will hold it's own!

It’s got really good image quality but it definitely has its limitations! But it’s incredibly useful

Im like wow osmo has great qulity, until the camera cuts in to the sony footage. But did you use ND filters inside of the gym on the osmo? if not what level nd filter or osmo settings do you recomend for gym footage at night.

Haha yeah it’s not meant to go head to head with a full frame sensor. For all of the shots that weren’t of me talking, it was auto exposure as I didn’t have ND filters yet. But it also has a low light mode that’s pretty clean with little noise at night! You just lose D Log in Low Light Mode

it would definetly be dumb to expect sony quality form DJI but for what i need its good enough. Iphoine 15 pros front camera RAPES the footage with noise. Idc about D log at all. IF its nice and clean thats all it matters. Just gotta figure out what kind of ND filter will be best for GYM settings. The gym i go to bright lights that create noise @@mariodevon_

Yoooo thank you!! Got another one coming talking about the best accessories for it! Oh the lens 😅 it’s the most unfair lens ever. Sony 35mm 1.4 G Master. After purchasing it, I now understand the rave for G Master lenses

You popped on my recommendations for the osmo pocket 3 . Dope content man i own 1,2 and 3 and the 3 is is by far the best. Im 30 min from Nashville i do content and events . Will be shooting downtown town soon looking for ppl to collab with. I do most of my content on IG

Great video! Any tips on what settings to use so that black skin tones show up more vibrant/true to life? I've found that compared to my pixel 7, for example, the pocket 3 sort of dulls out my skin (whether I use the normal color option or play around with D-Log and puts)

I would recommend you take your footage into an editing platform and use the HSL Curves to increase the saturation in the reds/oranges to get our skin tone

Hi Mario, looks like we have a lot of the same gear. There is a plethora of videos here on KZfaq about the Osmo Pocket 3 as I certain you are fully aware. I REALLY liked how you switched back between the mirrorless probably GM lens (70-200 GM II?) on rooftop parkade & OP3, it really showed the clear difference between a professional level camera (sharpness, colour science DOF) vs the OP3. With that said as you said & I totally agree with you the ease of use with OP3, picture quality the quality is high enough it does make you pause & curious about travelling with along your pro level gear and perhaps even, dare I say "try leaving your pro level gear at home opting for OP3." ...that is just nuts to think that, it does float around inside the head, don't it!? Would love to see a controllable zoom lens on OP3 & it support ND filer on it wide lens as you also mentioned. I enjoyed you video bro, thanks for sending. (as much as I like your video & heck yeah I do, gave you like & I subbed too maybe consider not be screen hog when vlogging - hell yeah we love ya, love looking at ya too, the surroundings & where you are awe want to see as well. I am out, thanks again.)

Hi Great video. That footage you got at the end on the roof with your normal camera where the background is blurred ...can you get that on the Pocket 3?

Not in this shooting situation. The sensors is too small to create the same blur as a full frame sensor. Although, you can get a little blur if something is very close to the Osmo camera!

I'm in the U.K and still awaiting stock of the Osmo Pocket 3. I have my pals to use, and we both have a gig on the same day over Easter, so I am praying the Osmo Pocket 3 comes into stock by then. Another great video.

Some of the images are amazing. Near mirrorless camera quality. Some of the sky blown out shots were rough... but 3:40ish and after looks really great.

Thank you brother! You can tell from that point on I figured out how hard I could actually push it 😅 the log is good but of course not as flexible as a larger camera. But when exposure is dialed in??? I can literally match it with my Sony FX3 🤯

Yoooo I appreciate you bro! And glad you got yours! They keep selling out everytime they restock lol. I’m working on a video this weekend covering color grading the footage. But basically shooting D Log M to lessen the digital sharpness then grading in Premiere Pro. You get the cleanest footage shooting under ISO 1600.
