So ive been playing around with the Dji Pocket 2 and found 5 hacks that No one told me about!. So since im a good friend, im going to share these Hacks on the Dji Pocket 2 with you guys! With the new Firmware update, the pocket also is offering up some new features. So please make sure you update you Dji Pocket 2 and give these Tips & Tricks for the Dji Pocket 2 a try.

Is the do it all handle better than the wifi module from the osmo 1? Besides the mic jack.

Ooh that’s a tough question... for me... the I tried the do it all handle.. but didn’t really see a difference from the wireless module I already had. It does have a speaker and It allows to stream.. but other than that... they both seemed to work the same to me.

Hey I use Final Cut Pro. Da Vinci resolve is free :) For my animation stuff I just use QuickTime to record the voices and then edit the audio in Final Cut Pro

Hey love the video. I do archery and want to capture my shots. I have a few mounts including the head and harness mounts. What setting would work best and do you know of a right angle bracket that could work? In archery you turn sideways to shoot, so the camera would need to turn as well unless I can get the gimbal to turn . Any tips?

Wow dude!!! That’s freakin amazing! Archery is sooo hard!! I would either put it in fpv mode or fast follow mode :)

Thanks I give it a try. Any idea for a bracket that will allow the camera to swivel so it will face forward even I turn sideways? Oh one other thing and forgive the question. I took some shots with my osmo and the words on the sign behind me came out upside down. I was right side up, except the words lol.

Yooo!!! How are you man! So what I did was put the pocket down, center it between an object and a the background (the object is very close up). While it’s on afc, it’ll hunt after a few seconds on its own and land on the object that close :)

I've been looking at that power bank handle you show at 5:47 Does it really work with the P2? I read amazon reviews saying it was fine for the P1, but didn't actually charge the P2? How much extra time does it give?

Yea mine works fine. Just remove the bottom. And bam! Your charging. You can charge it both via inside the handle or cable (just in case you attach a GoPro mount to it

Oh and I would say I usually get another full charge (sometimes more if it’s not cold out) . It’s a great charger. If you want to see how I rig mine for my secret channel.. let me know.. I’m on IG and can shoot you a video of my rig.

How do you pull focus for the “rack focus”?

With the pocket 2 in continuous auto focus, you have to have something that’s kinda close to the pocket 2 so that’s is focused on that first. Doing this will get the background out of focus, the pocket will then start hunting.. then it’ll eventually focus on the background and make the object that it’s close to out of focus :)

Hey man! I love your Pocket 2 vids and all of your tips and tricks have been very helpful to me!! Question for you. I recorded a POV walk in NYC last night that was over an hour long. When I checked out the ftg on my computer, instead of 1 seamless file, there are several files all spilt at 4gb. It looks like DJI sets the recording limit at 4gb on all of their devices, the osmo, pocket 2 and drones etc. Not cool! Have you had this issue and do you know if there is a work around? I have been researching this online and can't find a fix. People are saying that you can merge the clips in the editing programs that they use (I use Premiere Pro) but that there is a drop in the audio between each clip. So annoying! Please let me know if you are having the same issue and if you have a solution? Thank you!!

Yea I deal with this as well. It’s something that all the smaller camera tend to do. But it’s never been a bother because you just drop them in the timeline and it works fine.. I have never experienced any audio pops or dropouts..

Yoo! I found you from Chris Hau's Channel. I really like your energy! It's infectious. Keep rocking that in your videos. As a creative I've been looking into the DJI pocket for a while now. Would you recommend getting that over the Sony pocket camera? The ZV1 or whatever it is. The biggest thing for me is the gimbal, but I've never used one. As for me (My name’s Ryan!) It really makes me sad to see people reflect on life and realize they could’ve done much more with the time they were blessed with! @@BOOSTEDLASER just checked it out.. it looks like you May have the pocket 2 mounted on the bike... so be honest I don’t recommend mounting it in a bike.. maybe try mounting it on you. It doesn’t have optical image stabilization so it’s picking up all the vibration.. As for the noise, make sure the iso max is like 400

Oh man that’s a great question! I would have to say it depends on what you need it for... the surface pro is a full computer (you can use any software on it). The iPad is a tablet, very user friendly... but you can’t install all apps on it like a computer.

I have them all lol. Anamorphic, NDs, Wide (&ND Covers for the Wide), Night Filter & Néw Mist Filters. Figured I might as well get vested because the Pocket has been an awesome buy. Once I got the Rode Wireless Go that was a Game Changer for the Pocket 1

That "Pause Record" hack... I accidentally noticed that a few days ago on my Pocket 2, but because I've never come across any videos/ tutorials on it, I freaked me out cuz I thought I broke my Pocket 2 and quickly shut it off and turned it back on hahaha! Good to know now I was just over reacting haha

Sooo I'm considering buying a secondhand pocket 2 so I'm dredging a bunch of your old videos on it. I must say, I'm loving how much you've grown in confidence and ability as a creator. I joined at about the time of this video and we had a similar number of subscribers. I thought you were out of this world then! Do you ever watch these videos back? We've been thinking long and hard on either to get the Sony ZV-E10 or the DJI pocket 2 🤔 we have a small/growing KZfaq channel so just need something for vlogging/traveling purposes. We like how small and compact the DJI pocket 2 is. However, maybe the Sony ZV-E10 a better choice when it comes to growing as a vlogger as it may have better features? Nice video! Would love to get your thoughts on this. Thank you! 😊

How can my pocket 2 doesn’t do as well as your video for the point focus with blurry background.

Well to get the blurry background, you have to shoot in dcine. The dynamic range is much better in dcine. And to do the rack focus, With the pocket 2 in continuous auto focus, you have to have something that’s kinda close to the pocket 2 so that’s is focused on that first. Doing this will get the background out of focus, the pocket will then start hunting.. then it’ll eventually focus on the background and make the object that it’s close to out of focus :)

plz plz use story mode on pocket 2 (no need to connect phone now). it can pan or even roll the cam all by itself. another hack -> you can active story recording by click the button on the wireless mic.

You can set time duration as long as 16s and manual set camera AB movement (by hand) the magic happens when you slide from bottom in story mode. try it.

yeah i noticed the rack focus early on and asked myself how you did that with a pocket. and you never explained how you did it, only you tried and almost got ir right. so can you hit a setting ,set focus on say what is closest, and program or hit a button for it to change focus accurately to what is far away? or reverse? good ideas man. and hack? ps where the hell are you?

Yea I should have explained it... I just didn’t want to explain it wrong. Lol but here’s what I did. So what I did was put the pocket down, center it between an object and a the background (the object is very close up). While it’s on afc, it’ll hunt after a few seconds on its own and land on the object that close :) Keep in mind, it didn’t work everytime.. :/

I like your video. I have the following questions: 1.How much can you record continuously? i.e 15 minutes or unlimited (depending on SD card)? If I want to get a record continuous 30 min video is it possible with Pocket-2? I heard that it splits into a single file after 4GB, but the recording doesn't stop until the memory card is full. However, you need to import all the files and export them in a single video later. 2. Whenever its battery performance down, what is the solution to replace the battery (After some years)

I’ve shot continuous video with mine longer than 30 minutes and did not notice a separate file. As long as you have the proper space and battery life, you’re golden. I use mine to shoot all kinds of stuff from shorts to full length videos. I’ve filmed a lot of off-road driving adventures and the camera works great. It does get warm after awhile though. The battery is internal so if you have an issue with it you’ll have to send it back to DJI. I purchased the insurance with mine.
