You can also use any usb-c mic since the camera has built in usb-c. Or get 3.5mm to usb-c cable. So theoretically you can use any mic with the dji osmo pocket 3. Great video!

Oh boy! I'd like to see you put this Pocket 3 with bunch of accessories in a pocket now. DJI sold an idea of compact camera, but with all these accessories the Pocket 3 looks like a Christmas tree with decorations. Well done video, lots of work. Thank you!

If Pocket 3 would have 5000mAh battery, as good as its DJI Mic2 but built in stereo microphone with that fluffy windscreen, I wouldn't have to build the pyramid of missing better quality accessories. Now I look like somebody who is going to go fishing with fishing rod case loaded with 3 spare batteries, 2x Mic2, spare Memory Micro SD's, bracket to hold 2 Wireless Mics, mini tripod, with quick release on it. I need a bigger pants to put the pocket camera in my pocket now. ))

I was going to get rid of my Rode Wireless Me when I got the creator combo but it might actually be good to keep it so that I can record that to the camera and record the DJI Mic 2 inside that mic itself for interviews or so on.

Thanks for your video. Is there a way to connect 3 or more wireless mics with the DJI system? Like for example, the osmo pocket 3 has a built in receiver that can connect to 2 mics. Could you also attach the receiver from the DJI mic 2 kit and add 2 more mics, having a total of 4 mics? The use case would be if you’re interviewing more than one person.

My solution for now until I can get a second transmitter is to just keep the DJI wireless mic 2 attached to the top of the Pocket 3 case and use that as a mic handle. It even stands up. Otherwise, another dual wireless mic kit with receiver plugged into the USB c port. I have the Fulaim X5. Going to a new restaraunt on Friday and going to do my first restaraunt review vlog with my wife.

Hello. Great vidéo thank you. I tried to connect at the same time the wireless mic and a smartLav+ on the usb-c connector, but it seems it is impossible to have both working at the same time. Any tips for that ?

Cool tests. The Sennheiser Ambeo Binaural mic works well with my Action 2, and I would expect it to be just as happy with the Pocket 3 - just sayin', for people who like binaural sound.

is significantly better for blogging, the directional microphone or just the new dji mic? i made some tests with the dji mic 2 and indoor with the gain in 12 i sound like muffed a little, i dont know how to explain, or maybe use less gain and add DB later in davinci? or i need to buy the rode directional mic even its an extra piece for the setup y have to carry? any toughts? thankyou

Question. When I try to connect my clip-on mic with mini jack to the wireless mic, It does not work… It should be the same connection as the way you connected the shotgun mic… It worked on the pocket 2… please help

For the best shotgun mic for the DJI Pocket 3, would you use the excellent Rode Videomic NTG, or do you think that would just be too big? Would you stick to the much smaller (but not as good sounding) Rode Videomic Go II?

If putting it directly on the camera, I would use the smaller mic. NTG is too big.

Still remains the question if I hold the pocket in one hand and the mic 2 that comes with the combo in the other , which will get better distance coverage for a subject, many yards away. I don’t own a directional mic, so I was just wondering. Really fantastic video - subscribed because of all the helpful tips.

The closer the transmitter is to the subject, the better the audio quality.

My preference for an iPhone mic is the DJI Mic. It’s not directional, but it is the lightest and most minimalist

Hi, I recently bought a dji osmo pocket 3 (creator combo)and it’s my first experience with it, the mic 2 came with it and I want a additional mic setup for my business contend creation so should go for 2 transmitter and 1 receiver or 1 transmitter and 1 receiver set up and I would like to have your opinion on the tripod extension and selfie stick options Thanks in advance

If you want to use the mic system with other cameras like a phone, mirrorless camera, then get the receiver. If not, you’ll be fine with just another TX added to your kit. I love Insta360 extendable tripods and selfie sticks.

Great content!!! So…. You could have had the Rode mic 🎤 directional on a Tripod sitting on desk making this video? But ? Limitation ? I have a good condenser mic 🎙️ !!! Could you get an XLR adapter and go directly into dji? I really don’t like the mic (sure SMB7 ) whatever in the content unless you podcast. I don’t like the tacky CLIP-ON LOOK. I’m getting the combo creative kit pocket 3 I am new to all of this. I can teach about music production - I would be at computer. I can give helpful advice on cats 🐈 n Should I buy the receiver since it doesn’t come with mic 🎤? I want to take THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE !!! Like dji audio in sync !!! I like the mic out of the picture. Starting is hardest part 😢 Thank you 🙏 for video 🎉 There was a famous film - I think from 70’s - The Paper Chase. It was about law students I believe at Harvard. A line from the professor stuck In my head - “There are no final answers - only more questions.

Good instructional video, for me the Rode wireless Pro setup was the best sounding, didn’t know the DJI mic 2 had a 3.5 jack, thought it was just for the dead cat, i saw somewhere DJI were refining the mic 2 and was hoping they made the hole into a 3.5 jack, obviously it already is, good job DJI

Any chance of showing how you connected scneario 6? I thought Martin had his Rode mic connected to the dji mic but I saw it was the rode wireless pro.

The Rode shotgun is connected to a Rode Wireless Pro transmitter and the Rode Wireless receiver is connected to the Pocket 3. But you can do the exact same thing with the DJI Mic transmitter, if that makes sense.

Hi, You seem to know everything to do with this wonderful little camera and I need some help! I have a tripod and I want to be able to mount my camera as normal on the tripod and, separately, attached my Pocket 3 to one of the tripod legs so that I can take stills with my camera and 'B roll" with the Pocket 3 at the same time. I can't find anything to attach the Pocket 3 to a tripod leg and wondered if you can suggest something that might be suitable? Many Thanks!

It seems odd to attach a camera to a tripod leg. I can’t think of any product that would do that. If I were you, I’d use a bracket that allowed for attaching the camera and Pocket 3 at the same time, or mount the Pocket 3 to the cold shoe of the main camera.
