Billy. this is exactly what we need. great video! not just people demoing the Modes but how to use it. one thing no one seems to cover is that if it's possible to start an active track video (and then stop it) with gesture control. or even any video for that matter

great video!! few things i think u should point out. Its recommended to hook up to the phones wifi even if u only use gesture mode just in case u need to take control of the drone in an emergency. If u want to use gesture mode out the box with the fly more combo u would have to reset the drones wifi connection as it is set to work through the remote but only for the fly more combo. I had this problem wile trying to connect to the drones wifi. Great video!!!

This helps a lot. I’ve been having a lot of problems and I also think the sun messes with it. The one that rarely works for me is the wave to have it turn into follow me mode. Everything else works unless it’s in the sun or something

Keep your fingers together and your palm/s facing perpendicular to the drone. This helps it recognize gestures.

The motion I hit on to send the drone away is more of a side to side motion. The written instructions actually say this. Which when I couldn't get it to reliably recognize the gesture I RTFM'd.

Billy, when i am using the gesture mode does it record the video of all my actions? How will i know that.

even though u dont need your controller or phone to try gestures or hand control still want RC or device connected to spark just incase any odd behaviour 4rm spark like me. spark started going high and had to use RC to stop her going any higher so even though controller not need u should always have controller or device connected to spark when trying hand control or doing any gestures.

Here are the steps to record video using DJI Spark in gesture mode. Step 1: Start recording video. Step 2: Perform a palm launch. Step 3: Enter gesture mode. If you take off using wifi and your phone, then start video, then activate gesture mode from the 'mode menu', you will be told that it can't enter gesture mode as video is running But...if you switch on Spark, then begin the video before you fly, then use double tap to enter gesture mode, it will go into gesture mode , fly and keep recording video

What I would like to know is, does the spark go into GPS mode automatically in gesture mode or is it default to atti mode? If so, how does the spark stay still in flight?

When using gesture mode I notice you set it up with your controller. Does that mean you need to leave your cell and radio on and off to the side or can you turn them off when flying in gesture mode?

Billy, how about the quality of still photography with the Spark camera? That is a often a complaint on the Mavis Pro. I love the portability of the Spark - which is a huge draw, but, as a still photographer, I am interested in learning about still photography capabilities. Thanks, man. Peace.

How do you make it record a video when in gesture control mode? If a friend is holding your remote can then just press the record button?

Okay when I gesture for my spark to back up/move farther by waving, it will do so but only a very short distance - nothing compared to what’s seen here. Also, when I beckon for it, it just lands instead of descending and coming back to me. Is something wrong with my spark or is there like a setting that needs to be tweaked?
