@DVJTBone You can press and hold TAP and twist the TIME button to change the BPM to match the CDJ screen. To get 0.1 BPM adjusting, you can press+hold TAP and AUTO.

@CoolDJTV Yes, there is full Midi control over USB or Midi DIN plug. There is also a new MIDI LFO, to control external effects using the BEAT EFFECTS.

@DJGPR2 You can have -24dB or complete kill EQ. There is a switch to select eithe 'classic' EQ or Isolator EQ for each channel.

Finally picked up my 900 today and it is amazing. The effects are tighter and are definitely in more control with the music.

@reschla Serato is in partnership with Rane, and their hardware is the license key and audio interface.

Just played with the DJM900 this weekend, and it is sooo great.

It takes a while to really get into "the Nexus"...but when I got to play them they were awesome !!! It really is the NEXt step in audio mixing !!! :)

I'm sold! Will be buying as soon as it comes out!

Alot of these effects you can accomplish on a Kaos Pad KP3 thats been in my setup since 2009. Still dope.

The one thing I would like to see is the EQ knobs for the effect input that the DJM2000 has. Its really useful to cut out the low end for the echo and other effects which are more exciting on the high end. I always end up using a bit of filter and a bit of low end eq or some thing when I first engage the delay effects, but I'd like for these changes not to have to propagate to the playing track, but only to the effects.

a Dutch DJ Gear shop, has discovered that with certain headphones plugged into the mixer, the entire DJM-900 no longer works. It looks like this is related to the headphone impedance. My guess is that Pioneer can’t solve this with a firmware update and that all mixers need to undergo a revision, since all shops are asked to send their stock back to Pioneer.

I use sync button only to get the two songs the same bpm then beatmatch with out activating sync while both songs are playing though it honestly doesn't matter syncing allows one to do more fun stuff instead of worrying if his/her song with be in time and beat with the next song this is the present and the future will consist of this a lot trust me.. Stop living in the past vinyl is cool yes but it is old people are moving on still using vinyl just in a playlist and using clear vinyl records an

@Latronnik not sure what im going to do yet..the step up from the djm3000 to the 800 was a nice upgrade..i really love using the 800! i dont plan on doing any remixing which would require lots of loops etc..but the price of the 900 is bit on the upside..If i do decide to upgrade again, I will probably just sell this mixer to a sound center or Ebay.

For those of you that upgraded from Rane or any other mixers to pioneer and want to mix or scratch in your headphones, do this, Disconnect Or turn off your speakers. Turn up the master volume Turn up the mixing knob (the knob 2nd above your headphone jack) to master) Adjust headphone volume and TADA. Youre done.

Had the djm 800 for three years loved it but just bought the 900n it literally blows the 800 out of the water almost everything you would want from djm 2000 with the 800 layout. Did I mention way better sound? Love it

because amazon downloads are all in MP3 and only like 80 pence each :) and i never thought of using beatport tbh haha but the store i use is called x-records, just a small privately owned record shop

To everybody dreaming of these devices: just be patient. Buy CDJ-350s and an non-pioneer mixer, practice your head off, get gigging etc. First learn the basics, then the pro-dj gear :).

@reschla You can use Scratch Live via HID through the CDJs. There is NO company other than Rane that has a Scratch Live interface inside their mixers and that's not changing any time soon.

This one i actually like! IMO,the 800 is the best looking mixer and now you have the 900 which looks like the 800 but better! To bad it's f-ing expensive!

yeah the online record shops are good but still more expensive than using amazon mp3 downloader, it depends on how much value the record has for you, ill only spend 20-30 pound on a new record if i cant get enough of the song, feeling the music on the wax is so much better than just fiddling with buttons and a jog wheel

@DJGPR2 that all depends on your mixing style, and how much frequency you want to drop out, and how quickly you want to get to that drop off level. I myself use Kill.

Take out the space, dub, melodc, spiral, and GATE COMPRESS, and start from scratch, take notes from what actual music producers use, like incorporate 2 kinds of echos (Echo and Echo Tape), echo tape could be like the dub fx with controlled timing. hell, throw in an extra parameter knob or something that will allow a bit of detailed customization of fx, something that would personalize the dj mixer for the user

This is one SICK mixer!! bad timing though..I just got a brand new DJM800 last week! just wish i would have waited!! Also..why doesnt Pioneer design its own mixing software like Serato?? you can make one sick software package using recordbox!!! lets get with it :)

Im guessing with a high res touch screen like the 2000 nexus, but WAY more advanced. Uggg...buy now used or wait??? Hmmmm....

Could you please tell me a little bit more about the DJM 900 crossfader. Is it good enough for advanced scratching? I have read online that it is very similar to the DJM 909 crossfader which had a fully adjustable cut in and tension.Is that possible on the DJM 900? I currently own a DJM 800 with an innofader upgrade because the original DJM 800 crossfader wasn't very good.The DJM nexus looks brilliant,but I have had a hard time finding any info about the quality of the upgraded crossfader.THANKS

@DolceSpank81 I dont think you need the audio10. this is traktor scratch certified. (unless you need the many connections on the interface?) just upgrade Traktor Pro to Tractor T2 on or after aprill 11th i think. buy this and your away.

Does it still have per-channel harmonic key adjustment, or is that now assumed to be used just on the CDJs?

when i cant get gigs in clubs i do small parties, you cant be fussy about what you do and where the money comes from, i have my own style and i use oldskool turntables and vinyl but im a traktor scratch kinda guy ;) i have a record collection but its hard to find vinyl's anymore, im not a sync button basher though haha ;D im not sat at a mac pro saying im a dj when all im doing is dragging and dropping with my mouse, im an old fashioned kinda guy who embraced technology lol what is it you use ?

@hooligram I don't feel fucked by this. I use the features of the 2000 that this thing doesn't have way more than the weird new effects that this thing has. I use Frequency mix, and side chain quite a bit.

@4:50 how can it possible? Connect the LAN cables into a hub ethernet.....and then? I have to push the quantize button in the mixer, right? Transform effect selected on the cdj 2000 with scratch sample, with the wide pitch selected. But it doesn't work. The effect doesn't stay in time. What I have to do?

@swashington87 Is it really? I had no idea. I'm just trying to find a good microwave....... I meant do you need to have a scratch live soundcard or can you just use the built in USB that is on this mixer like they said you can do if your using Traktor.

@MININSTINCT the diferent is, you got your playlist in a Box .. i got it on a HDD .... its not more natural, playling computer generatetd music on the one or the other playdevices ..... focus has to be on the music , not on the use of equipment... its not about the feeling when use equipment ... its about the feeling your music will create on the mind. I make music to share my mind and feeling ..... not to feel my self as the greatest, using one option of mixing !

@impactdeejay Aaaah, youre both kinda right. For me a real Dj is not using any Software or virtual datas. Just a pair of Technics, a Mixer, your Vinyl and some good Headphones. But You are right on the point that mixing is actually about more than just beat matching. But still the crowd is not the parameter for a good dj. You can have awesome dj styles, play good music of a genre and totally make a good mix, but when people arent into that type of music they wont dance until they are drunk.

@DJSEvEN72 hell yeah :) 2 turntables, eq + crossfader. Saying that, nothing wrong with fuck loads of extra bits to play with ... you just wont see me using them (or forking out for them either).

WHY IS THERE NO RECORD OPTION LIKE IN THE DJM350!! God damnit.. Why put it in one and not in your newer models as well? If this had a recording feature I wouldn't have to deal with ext sound cards and progs like Sound Forge.
