BEST mixer I have ever owned. Coming from old school DJM series, and now jumping into Serato, I’m amazed by how much possibilities you have with this two channel mixer. Two effects banks, midi loop, transport control, etc

HUUUGE thanks for the vid! Is there a way to also send Loop MIDI to Ableton Live for example? Cause if yes, this thing is literally an insane machine with endless possibilities. Love your style of narration and DJing, sending lots of love through optic wires under the ocean

Hello! Thanks for the comment. Yes you can use the loop midi for anything since it generates a midi signal.

Nice scratching brotha, lol... diggin that set up homeslice. Man, I wish this came out last year, when I was buying my Pioneer DJ DJM-250-MK2. Lol... This is way fukn better then my piece of crap mixer with magvel fader. Not to impressed with the Magvel fader tho, for my scratches, & cuts. Definitely would have to put an Innofader or Infinity fader inside, for sure, if its still rockn the Magvel.... 👍💪🙏🔥💯🎶🌎 Great video my friend

I just recently bought an S7 and was trying to learn how to use some of the features. Your video helped a lot. I just had a question for you though. When I hold down shift and press the vinyl brake button to select Bank A, I was expecting that the fx LEDs would remain red to indicate that I am in Bank A, but it just turns back blue, however the fx that I loaded in Bank A are there, so it really is in Bank A, but there is just no visual representation to say such. Is this a bug on mine or is that how they designed it?

Blue LED represents that you are still in FX. The blue and red LEDs are just to differentiate the bank buttons. The reason for this is so the FX mode conforms to how it looks on the S9, S11, and REV7.

I have an S7 and really enjoyed your tips. I have a question whether the S7 has playback capability to play audio out of the computer speakers using Rekordbox? I've purchased Rekordbox CV and unable to have sound through my computer like I can with a DDJ-400. I'm running macos 11.6.4 Big Sur and the latest Rekordbox software and S7 driver. I don't have this issue with Serato DJ Pro, only Rekordbox. Appreciate any tips.

It has the same metal skeleton as how the S9 and S11 are. The only thing you will notice different is that the bumpers are plastic instead of rubber.

You talked about the transport modes. Does this mean you could technically dj with just this mixer and no external players? Of course there would be no way to scratch as you don’t have turntables or jog wheels but you have your cue, play and tempo controls? Just a fun little thought, maybe try it out!

Yes. Transport mode will allow you to mix completely from the mixer. It has tempo and tempo bend controls on the pads.

Are you able to go into settings with this mixer, and adjust the cut in points with the cross fader, so that the sound is instantaneous as soon as you move the fader??

Can I use turntables with phase and xdjs as well? Not more than two at a time but connection can this mixer host all 4 sources?

can you trigger the EFX on the sample without interfering the two tracks playing?

The sampler doesn’t have its own FX however you can route it to a channel and apply EQ, color fx, and beat FX there. That would of course affect the deck on that channel as well.

There is no mic echo on the S7, it would require an external processor to do.

Loop MIDI is an exclusive feature to the S7.

Hi Pri yon Joni, I have an issue with my newly bought s7 and plz-1000 and was hoping you or someone can help me. When I plug in my turntable into the phono input with the ground into the mixer the sound is horrible. Very distorted and unbareable but when I plug it into the line input it plays a lot better but still pretty bad. I feel like it’s not the proper way to connect it as all manuals says to plug it into phono. I’m using a pair of klipsch speakers and wondering if that’s the issue. Any thoughts or help would be awesome. Thanks

What about Bluetooth interference with other devices? Like other mobile phones etc?

It's not meant for 100 foot bluetooth use. It's simply a way to connect your phone while near the mixer. Especially for scratch practice. Haven't heard an issue of interference with my two laptops, and an ipad nearby.

Yes. It can work with any dj turntable and you can use it with the iOS app djay Pro AI which works on the iPad Pro.

They all you to scroll up and down some pad modes. For example, if you go into saved loops, it lets you go down to tighter or longer beat durations.
